Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of resistance band training on volleyball smash speed in athletes aged 16-18 years at Klub Benteng Muda Tangerang. The problem raised departs from the lack of variety in the training program, which is considered to have an impact on the athlete's smash speed. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The sample amounted to 30 athletes, selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using paired t-test. The results of this study are expected to provide information on the effectiveness of resistance band training in increasing smash speed in volleyball athletes aged 16-18 years, so that it can be a recommendation in the preparation of training programs aimed at improving individual and team performance. The instrument used in this study is the measurement of smash speed using a radar gun. The results of increasing smash speed using the resistance band training method by 11% indicate that this training method has significant benefits in improving the ability of smash techniques in volleyball athletes.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan resistance band terhadap kecepatan smash bola voli pada atlet usia 16–18 tahun di Klub Benteng Muda Tangerang. Masalah yang diangkat berangkat dari minimnya variasi dalam program latihan, yang dinilai berdampak pada kecepatan smash atlet. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel berjumlah 30 atlet, dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji paired t-test. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi mengenai efektivitas latihan resistance band dalam meningkatkan kecepatan smash pada atlet bola voli usia 16–18 tahun, sehingga dapat menjadi rekomendasi dalam penyusunan program latihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan performa individu maupun tim. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengukuran kecepatan smash menggunakan alat radar gun. Hasil peningkatan kecepatan smash dengan menggunakan metode latihan resistance band sebesar 11% menunjukkan bahwa metode latihan ini memiliki manfaat yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan teknik smash pada atlet bola voli. | |||||||||
