Abstract

Technology-based learning media that are currently being massively developed, for example metaverse-based learning media (AR and VR virtual spaces). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of AR media based on hydroponic cultivation websites to support digital literacy (on plant growth and development material). The method used was the research and development method with the ADDIE model at the develop stage. The research was conducted in July 2024- Juni 2025 at SMAN 8 Serang City. The research subjects were high school students in grade XII MIPA. The results of students' digital literacy abilities were measured based on learning outcomes using a digital literacy essay test, obtaining a score of 76.16% which is included in the high and effective category in supporting students' digital literacy. The results of processing learning process data measured using a student response questionnaire obtained a score of 86.54% which is included in the very decent and effective category. Based on this assessment, AR media based on hydroponic cultivation websites is effective for use as a learning medium on plant growth and development material. These results showed that the developed media can be continued in a wide field trial, namely the implementation stage (ADDIE model R&D stage) so that it can be disseminated and used by all schools.

Additional Information: Media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang sedang masif dikembangkan saat ini, misalnya media pembelajaran berbasis metaverse (ruang virtual AR dan VR). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk keefektivitasan media AR berbasis website budidaya hidroponik untuk menunjang literasi digital (pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan). Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan model ADDIE pada tahap develop. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2024- Juni 2025 di SMAN 8 Kota Serang. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa SMA kelas XII MIPA. Hasil kemampuan literasi digital siswa diukur berdasarkan hasil belajar menggunakan tes uraian literasi digital memperoleh nilai sebesar 76,16% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dan efektif dalam menunjang literasi digital siswa. Hasil pengolahan data proses belajar yang diukur menggunakan angket respon siswa memperoleh nilai sebesar 86,54% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak dan efektif. Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut maka media AR berbasis website budidaya hidroponik efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan media yang dikembangkan ini dapat dilanjutkan pada uji coba lapangan luas yakni tahap implementation (tahapan R&D model ADDIE) agar dapat disebarluaskan dan digunakan oleh semua sekolah.
