Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of beef consumers and analyze the factors that influence beef demand in Cilegon City. The research was conducted by purposive sampling used to select research locations in Cilegon City with a sample size of 50 respondents. This research used quantitative descriptive analysis method and multiple linear regression analysis that has been processed using the IBM SPSS 21 program. The results of the study of factors that significantly affect beef demand are income with a sig. value of 0.001 < 0.05, appetite with a sig. value of 0.004 < 0.05, and the price of beef with a sig. value of 0.018 < 0.05. Beef substitute price did not significantly affect beef demand.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik konsumen daging sapi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan daging sapi di Kota Cilegon. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling untuk menentukan lokasi penelitian di Kota Cilegon dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 50 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis regresi linier berganda yang telah diolah menggunakan program IBM SPSS 21. Hasil penelitian faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap permintaan daging sapi adalah pendapatan dengan nilai sig. 0,001 < 0,05, selera dengan nilai sig. 0,004 < 0,05, dan harga daging sapi dengan nilai sig. 0,018 < 0,05. Harga substitusi daging sapi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap permintaan daging sapi.
