Abstract

This research was aimed to know the growth response of moringa (Moringa oleifera) stem cuttings to treatments of the type synthetic plant growth regulator and planting media combination. Which was conducted at Integrated Agricultural System Area of Banten Province. The design used in this research was randomized complete blok design (RCBD) consisted of two factors, namely the type of synthetic plant growth regulator (Z) and combination of planting media (M). The first factor with 3 levels, namely was control (Z0), NAA 100 ppm (Z1), and IBA 100 ppm (Z2). The second factor consisting of 3 levels, namely a combination of soil + rice husk charcoal (1:1) (M1), soil + compost (1:1) (M2), and combination soil + rise husk charcoal + compost (1:1:1) (M3). Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so that resulting 27 experimental units were obtained, each experimental unit consisting of 4 polybags, so that the number of moringa planted was 108 polybags. The result showed that the type of synthetic plant growth regulator IBA 100 ppm gave the best result on the number of roots (8.79 roots) and root length (6.33 cm). The combination of soil + rice husk charcoal + compost (1:1:1) planting media gave the best effect on the number of leaves (1372.94 leaves), number of roots (9.05 roots), and root length (7.27 cm). There was an interaction between the type synthetic plant growth regulator and planting media combination of the age of shoot emergence, number of leaves, number of roots and root length.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan stek batang kelor (Moringa oleifera) terhadap perlakuan jenis zat pengatur tumbuh sintetik dan kombinasi media tanam. Penelitian ini dilakuakn di Kawasan sistem pertanian terpadu (Sitandu) provinsi banten. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor yaitu jenis zat pengatur tumbuh sintetik (Z) dan kombinasi media tanam (M). Faktor pertama terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu kontrol (Z0), NAA 100 ppm (Z1) dan IBA 100 ppm (Z2). Faktor kedua terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu kombinasi tanah + arang sekam (1:1) (M1), kombinasi tanah + kompos (1:1) (M2), dan kombinasi tanah + arang sekam + kompos (1:1:1) (M3). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 27 satuan percobaan, setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 4 polybag, sehingga jumlah stek batang kelor yang ditanam sebanyak 108 polybag. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jenis zat pengatur tumbuh sintetik IBA 100 ppm (Z2) memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada parameter jumlah akar (8,79 buah) dan parameter panjang akar (6,33 cm). Kombinasi media tanam tanah + arang sekam + kompos (1:1:1) (M3) memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada parameter jumlah daun (1372,94 helai), parameter jumlah akar (9,05 buah), dan parameter panjang akar (7,27 cm). Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan jenis zat pengatur tumbuh sintetik dan kombinasi media tanam pada parameter waktu muncul tunas, jumlah daun, jumlah akar, dan panjang akar.
