Abstract

Kebutuhan mencetak dokumen dikalangan mahasiswa cukup besar namun sering kali terdapat masalah di gerai penyedia jasa mencetak seperti jam operasional yang terbatas, sulit mendapatkan kembalian, harga yang ditetapkan tidak rasional, lokasi gerai yang jauh dan tidak diketahui. Kiosk print merupakan rangkaian komputer dengan fungsi khusus yang berbentuk seperti mesin ATM. Tampilan pengoperasian dari kiosk print yang baik dibutuhkan. Visual basic dapat digunakan untuk membuat tampilan yang baik secara fungsi dan menarik secara visual. Sesuai dengan metode waterfall yang digunakan, dilakukan pengujian alpha dan pengujian beta. Pengujian alpha dilakukan kepada pembuat produk dengan hasil seluruh fungsi bekerja. Pengujian beta dilakukan kepada 30 orang mahasiswa, memperoleh rata rata tingkat kepuasan respon aplikasi 4,4 (sangat puas), kemudahan mengidentifikasi antara simbol dan fungsinya 4,63 (sangat puas), peningkatan produktifitas user 3,97 (puas), kemudahan interaksi aplikasi 4,4 (sangat puas), graphical user interface membantu efektifitas user 4,17 (puas), dan graphical user interface yang efisien 4,13 (puas). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan, graphical user interface berbasis visual basic untuk kiosk print dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai software kiosk print.

Additional Information: The need to print documents among students is quite large, but often there are problems at the printing service provider outlets such as limited operating hours, difficult to get change, irrational prices set, location of stores that are far and unknown. Kiosk print is a series of computers with special functions that are shaped like an ATM machine. A good display of the kiosk print operation is needed. Visual basic can be used to make a display that is both functional and visually interesting. In accordance with the waterfall method used, alpha testing and beta testing are carried out. Alpha testing is carried out to the product maker with the results, all functions works. Beta testing was carried out on 30 students, obtained an average response satisfaction level of 4.4 (very satisfied), ease of identification between symbols and functions 4.63 (very satisfied), increased user productivity 3.97 (satisfied), ease of application interaction 4.4 (very satisfied), graphical user interface helps user effectiveness 4.17 (satisfied), and efficient graphical user interface 4.13 (satisfied). Based on the results of the tests that have been conducted, visual basic based graphical user interface for print kiosks is declared suitable for use as kiosk print software.
