Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using wooden lacing media in increasing line awareness on the writing ability of mentally disabled children at the Amani Insan Mandiri Foundation, Serang Regency. The type of research in this study is an experiment with Single Subject Research (SSR) with the research design used in this study, namely using the A-B-A design with a session range of baseline 1 (A1) as many as 4 sessions, intervention (B) as many as 8 sessions, and baseline 2 (A2) as many as 4 sessions. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and displayed through line graphs. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the use of wooden lacing media can increase line awareness on children's writing ability with the results obtained in the baseline 1 phase (A1) the average value obtained was 33%. In the intervention (B) the average value obtained increased to 86% while in baseline 2 (A2) the average value obtained was 66%. The results of the data obtained during the research with a range of baseline 1 (A1) of 4 sessions, intervention (B) of 8 sessions, and baseline 2 (A2) of 4 sessions showed satisfactory results where the application of wooden lacing media can influence subjects in increasing line awareness in the writing ability of mentally disabled children.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penggunaan media wooden lacing dalam meningkatkan line awareness pada kemampuan menulis anak tunagrahita di Yayasan Amani Insan Mandiri Kabupaten Serang. Jenis penelitian dari penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan desain A-B-A dengan rentang sesi yaitu basenilne 1 (A1) sebanyak 4 kali sesi, intervensi (B) sebanyak 8 kali sesi, dan baseline 2 (A2) sebanyak 4 kali sesi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan di tampilkan melalui grafik garis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan penggunaan media wooden lacing dapat meningkatkan line awareness pada kemampuan menulis anak dengan hasil yang diperoleh pada fase baseline 1 (A1) nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 33%. Fase intervensi (B) nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh meningkat menjadi 86% sedangkan pada fase baseline 2 (A2) nilai rata- rata yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 66%. Hasil data yang di peroleh selama melakukan penelitian dengan rentang baseline 1 (A1) sebanyak 4 kali sesi, intervensi (B) sebanyak 8 kali sesi, dan baseline 2 (A2) sebanyak 4 kali sesi menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan dimana penerapan media wooden lacing dapat mempengaruhi subjek dalam meningkatkan line awareness pada kemampuan menulis anak tunagrahita.
