Abstract
This research aimed to determine the effect of foliar fertilizer dosage and type of planting medium on the growth of Dendrobium sylvanum orchids. This was an experimental study conducted from November 2024 to February 2025 at a home yard located on Jl. Komplek Pendidikan, Rangkasbitung District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. The research was arranged in a Split Plot Design with two factors. The first factor as the main plot was the dose of foliar fertilizer (d) which consists of three levels namely 2 g.L-1 (d1), 2.5 g.L-1 (d2), and 3 g.L-1 (d3). The second factor as a sub-plot was the type of planting medium (m) which consists of 4 levels namely Sphagnum moss (m1), Asplenium nidus root (m2), Fern root (m3), and Rockwool (m4). The results showed that the combination of a dose of 2 g.L-1 foliar fertilizer and Kadaka root planting media had a significant effect on the number of leaves parameter (2.00 cm) and the combination of a dose of 3 g.L-1 foliar fertilizer and sphagnum moss planting media had a significant effect on the leaf length parameter (3.40 cm). The dose of 2 g.L-1 foliar fertilizer significantly affected the parameters of plant height increase (2.37 cm), stem diameter (0.53 mm), leaf length (2.38 cm), and leaf chlorophyll index (37.60 units). Meanwhile, Asplenium nidus root planting media showed an effect on leaf width parameters (0.30 cm). Also, sphagnum moss planting media had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant height (2.60 cm), stem diameter (0.57 mm), and leaf chlorophyll index (34.17 units).

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk daun dan jenis media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan anggrek Dendrobium sylvanum. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2024 hingga Februari 2025 di pekarangan rumah yang terletak di Jalan Komplek Pendidikan, Kecamatan Rangkasbitung, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. Penelitian disusun dalam Rancangan Petak Terpisah (Split Plot Design) dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama sebagai petak utama adalah dosis pupuk daun (d) yang terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu 2 g.L-1 (d1), 2,5 g.L-1 (d2), dan 3 g.L-1 (d3). Faktor kedua sebagai anak petak adalah jenis media tanam (m) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu Sphagnum moss (m1), akar Asplenium nidus (m2), akar pakis (m3), dan Rockwool (m4). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi dosis 2 g.L-1 pupuk daun dan media tanam akar Kadaka berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun (2,00 cm) dan kombinasi dosis 3 g.L-1 pupuk daun dan media tanam lumut Sphagnum berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter panjang daun (3,40 cm). Dosis pupuk daun 2 g.L-1 berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pertambahan tinggi tanaman (2,37 cm), diameter batang (0,53 mm), panjang daun (2,38 cm), dan indeks klorofil daun (37,60 unit). Sementara itu, media tanam akar Asplenium nidus menunjukkan pengaruh pada parameter lebar daun (0,30 cm).
