Abstract
This study aimed to determine the growth response and yield of red amaranth plants (Amaranthus tricolor L.). to variation of Electrical Conductivity (EC) value and combination of organic growing media using hydroponics wick system technique. This research was conducted from December 2024 to February 2025 in Curug District, Serang City, Banten Province. The experimental design used in this study was a Split Plot Design with 2 factors. The first factor was variation of Electrical Conductivity value (E) consist of 3 treatment levels, 1,8 mS/cm (E1), 2,0 mS/cm (E2), 2,2 mS/cm (E3). The second factors was the combination of organic growing media (M) consist of 3 types, husk charcoal (M1), 50% husk charcoal + 50% moss media (M2), 30% husk charcoal + 30% moss media + 30% cocopeat. The result showed that the variation of EC value had no effect in any parameters. Combination of organic growing media 30% husk charcoal + 30% moss media + 40% cocopeat (M3) gave the best results in plant height at 7 – 28 days after planting (DAP) (23,65 cm), number of leaves at 28 DAP (13,61 leaves), leaf length at 14 – 28 DAP (10,15 cm), leaf width at 7 – 28 DAP (6,46 cm), stem diameter at 28 DAP (6,63 mm), and fresh weight of plant at (11,15 g). There was no interaction between variation of EC value and combination of organic growing media.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor L.) terhadap variasi nilai Electrical Conductivity (EC) dan kombinasi media tanam organik dengan teknik hidroponik sistem sumbu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2024 hingga Februari 2025 di Kecamatan Curug, Kota Serang, Provinsi Banten. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Petak Terpisah (Split Plot Design) dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah variasi nilai konduktivitas listrik (E) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan, yaitu 1,8 mS/cm (E1), 2,0 mS/cm (E2), dan 2,2 mS/cm (E3). Faktor kedua adalah kombinasi media tanam organik (M) yang terdiri dari 3 jenis yaitu arang sekam (M1), arang sekam 50% + media moss 50% (M2), arang sekam 30% + media lumut 30% + cocopeat 30%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa variasi nilai EC tidak berpengaruh pada semua parameter. Kombinasi media tanam organik 30% arang sekam + 30% media moss + 40% cocopeat (M3) memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman umur 7 - 28 hari setelah tanam (HST) (23,65 cm), jumlah daun umur 28 HST (13,61 helai), panjang daun umur 14 - 28 HST (10,15 cm), lebar daun umur 7 - 28 HST (6,46 cm), diameter batang umur 28 HST (6,63 mm), dan berat segar tanaman umur 28 HST (11,15 g). Tidak terjadi interaksi antara variasi nilai EC dan kombinasi media tanam organik. | |||||||||
