Abstract
This research aims to describe and deeply understand the experiences of female sex workers in facing various forms of discrimination and violence, whether physical, psychological, or structural. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive phenomenology method to explore the meanings that the research subjects attach to the violence they experience in their daily lives. Johan Galtung's theory of violence became the main analytical framework in identifying three forms of violence, namely direct, structural and cultural violence. The results show that female sex workers are a group that is highly vulnerable to violence rooted in patriarchal social structures and a discriminatory legal system. The lack of legal protection and strong social stigma make victims reluctant to report or fight for their rights. The discrimination experienced by sex workers is not only social, but also institutionalized in cultural norms and impartial legal policies. Therefore, a more humanist and transformative approach is needed from the state and society to protect the rights of female sex workers and create a fair and equal system. This research is expected to be a reference for academics, policy makers, and the community in understanding and addressing the issue of violence against this marginalized group.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan memahami secara mendalam pengalaman pekerja seks perempuan dalam menghadapi berbagai bentuk diskriminasi dan kekerasan, baik secara fisik, psikis, maupun struktural. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi deskriptif guna mengeksplorasi makna yang dimaknai oleh para subjek penelitian terhadap kekerasan yang mereka alami dalam kehidupan sehari hari. Teori kekerasan Johan Galtung menjadi kerangka analisis utama dalam mengidentifikasi tiga bentuk kekerasan, yaitu kekerasan langsung, struktural, dan kultural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pekerja seks perempuan merupakan kelompok yang sangat rentan terhadap kekerasan yang berakar pada struktur sosial patriarkal dan sistem hukum yang diskriminatif. Minimnya perlindungan hukum serta kuatnya stigma sosial menyebabkan para korban enggan melapor atau memperjuangkan haknya. Diskriminasi yang dialami oleh para pekerja seks tidak hanya berlangsung secara sosial, tetapi juga dilembagakan dalam norma budaya dan kebijakan hukum yang tidak berpihak. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih humanis dan transformatif dari negara dan masyarakat untuk melindungi hak hak pekerja seks perempuan serta menciptakan sistem yang adil dan setara. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi akademisi, pembuat kebijakan, dan masyarakat dalam memahami serta menangani isu kekerasan terhadap kelompok marginal ini. | ||||||
