Abstract
This study examines the Nganteuran tradition as a communication medium that influences the strengthening of social relations in the Citasuk Village community. Nganteuran is an activity of delivering food between residents before major Islamic holidays such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al- Adha, and the Prophet's Birthday. In the context of cultural communication, the Nganteuran tradition is not only a ceremonial activity, but also a means of conveying messages, strengthening Islamic brotherhood, and maintaining social solidarity. This study aims to determine how the Nganteuran tradition becomes the cultural identity of the Citasuk Village community, its function as a communication medium between residents, and in strengthening social relations. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic study approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and documentation of Nganteuran activities. The results of the study show that this tradition acts as an effective interpersonal communication medium, with food as a symbol and cultural message that represents the values of togetherness, respect, and mutual care. This tradition also emphasizes the local identity of the Citasuk Village community and is part of the traditional communication system that is still preserved today. In conclusion, Nganteuran not only functions as a cultural tradition, but also as a meaningful means of communication, strengthening collective identity and maintaining social harmony in the village community.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini mengkaji tradisi Nganteuran sebagai media komunikasi yang mempengaruhi dalam memperkuat hubungan sosial masyarakat Desa Citasuk. Nganteuran berupa kegiatan saling mengantarkan makanan antar warga menjelang hari-hari besar Islam seperti Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, dan Maulid Nabi. Dalam konteks komunikasi budaya, tradisi Nganteuran tidak hanya sekedar kegiatan seremonial, melainkan juga menjadi sarana penyampaian pesan, memperkuat ukhuwah islamiyah, serta menjaga solidaritas sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tradisi Nganteuran menjadi identitas budaya masyarakat Desa Citasuk, fungsinya sebagai media komunikasi antarwarga, serta dalam merekatkan hubungan sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi etnografi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci, serta dokumentasi aktivitas Nganteuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi ini berperan sebagai media komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif, dengan makanan sebagai simbol dan pesan budaya yang merepresentasikan nilai-nilai kebersamaan, penghormatan, dan saling peduli. Tradisi ini juga menegaskan identitas lokal masyarakat Desa Citasuk dan menjadi bagian dari sistem komunikasi tradisional yang masih dilestarikan hingga kini. Kesimpulannya, Nganteuran tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tradisi budaya, tetapi juga sebagai sarana komunikasi yang bermakna, memperkuat identitas kolektif dan menjaga harmoni sosial masyarakat desa. | ||||||
