Abstract

This study aimed to develop a learning media called Augmented Reality Educational Strategy (ARES) and to determine the media’s feasibility, student responses, and the improvement of students’ critical thinking skills after using the media. The research method referred to Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE approach. The sample consisted of twelfth-grade students from a senior high school in Pandeglang, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used included a media validation questionnaire, a student response questionnaire, and a critical thinking skills test. The results showed that the feasibility percentage of the ARES media reached 87,8%, categorized as highly feasible. Student responses obtained a score of 87,6%, categorized as very good, while the improvement in students’ critical thinking skills showed an N-Gain score of 0,36, which falls into the moderate category. It can be concluded that ARES is a feasible physics learning media and can enhance students’ critical thinking skills, particularly on the topic of logic gates.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Augmented Reality Educational Strategy (ARES) dan mengetahui tingkat kelayakan media, respons peserta didik, serta peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah penggunaan media. Metode yang digunakan mengacu pada Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan ADDIE. Sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari peserta didik kelas XII di salah satu SMA di pandeglang yang ditentukan secara purposive. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket validasi media, angket respons peserta didik, serta tes keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase kelayakan media ARES sebesar 87,8% dengan kategori sangat layak, respons peserta didik memperoleh 87,6% dengan kategori sangat baik, serta peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik menunjukkan nilai N-Gain 0,36 dalam kategori sedang. Augmented Reality Educational Strategy (ARES) dapat disimpulkan sebagai media pembelajaran fisika yang layak digunakan pada pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi gerbang logika.
