Abstract
The Effect of Trait and Factor Group Counseling on Students' Career Maturity. Thesis. Supervised by: Arga Satrio Prabowo (Supervisor 1) and Lenny Wahyuningsih (Supervisor 2). Guidance and Counseling Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. This study is based on the problem of low career maturity of students. The efforts that can be made to deal with this problem are by providing group counseling services. The study aims to determine whether the provision of trait and factor group counseling services is effective for the career maturity of 77 students of class XII at SMA Negeri 1 Panggarangan. Trait and Factor is an approach that can help students plan and choose careers based on objective trait identification results through psychological tests. This study uses the Quasi Experiment Design method with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design with Purposive Sampling. The pre-test results of 77 students showed that 12 students were in the low category, 51 students in the medium category, and 14 students in the high category. Treatment was given to 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group with 6 students each. The data collection technique used was a career maturity questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study was descriptive statistical analysis and the Mann-Whitney U hypothesis test. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U hypothesis test analysis, the Asym. Sig (2-tailed) <0.05 value was obtained, so it can be concluded that the use of trait and factor group counseling is effective and can significantly increase the career maturity of class XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Panggarangan.

Adapun upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam menangani masalah ini yaitu dengan memberikan layanan konseling kelompok. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah dalam pemberian layanan konseling kelompok trait and factor efektif terhadap kematangan karir siswa XII di SMA Negeri 1 Panggarangan sebanyak 77 siswa. Trait and Factor adalah pendekatan yang dapat membantu siswa dalam merencanakan dan memilih karir berdasarkan hasil identifikasi trait yang objektif melalui tes psikologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi Experiment Design dengan Non-Equivalent Control Group Design dengan Purposive Sampling. Hasil pre-test dari 77 siswa menunjukkan sebanyak 12 siswa pada kategori rendah, 51 siswa pada kategori sedang, dan 14 siswa pada kategori tinggi. Pemberian treatment dilakukan pada 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan masing-masing sebanyak 6 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan angket kematangan karir. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis statistic deskriptif dan uji hipotesis Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis uji hipotesis Mann- Whitney U mendapatkan nilai Asym. Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan konseling kelompok trait and factor efektif dan mampu secara signifikan meningkatkan kematangan karir siswa kelas XII di SMA Negeri 1 Panggarangan. | |||||||||
