Abstract
Background: The inability to manage stress and emotions can negatively impact parent-child interactions, child development, and overall family well-being. There has been no specific research on parenting stress within nuclear families in the working area of the UPTD Puskesmas in Serang City. Objective: To analyze the relationship between parenting stress levels and emotion regulation among parents in nuclear families with toddlers in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Singandaru, Serang City .Methods: This study used a descriptive correlational design with a cross- sectional approach. The populatin are 356 parents and sample consisted of 78 parents selected through purposive sampling, calculated using the Slovin formula. The instruments used were the Parenting Stress Index (PSI) and the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Results: A significant relationship was found between parenting stress and emotion regulation among parents in nuclear families with toddlers in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Serang City, with a p-value of 0.000.Conclusion: There is a relationship between parenting stress and emotion regulation among parents in nuclear families with toddlers in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Singandaru. Suggestion: It is recommended to balance the number of father and mother respondent for more representative results.

Belum ada penelitian spesifik mengenai stres pengasuhan dalam keluarga tipe nuclear family di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Kota Serang.Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan antara tingkat stres pengasuhan dan regulasi emosi pada orang tua dalam keluarga nuclear family yang memiliki balita.. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Dengan total populasi sejumlah 356 orang tua dan Sampel terdiri dari 78 orang tua yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling, dihitung menggunakan rumus Slovin. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner Parenting Stress Index (PSI) dan Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil: Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara stres pengasuhan dan regulasi emosi pada orang tua dalam keluarga nuclear family dengan balita di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Kota Serang, dengan nilai p-value 0,000. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara stres pengasuhan dan regulasi emosi orang tua dalam keluarga nuclear family dengan balita di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Singandaru. Saran: Disarankan untuk menyeimbangkan jumlah responden antara ayah dan ibu. | |||||||||
