Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by KT&G SangSangUniv in developing soft skills among Generation Z in DKI Jakarta. The background of this research is based on the increasingly dynamic workforce challenges due to technological advancements and digital transformation, as well as the high unemployment rate among the productive age group. Formal education is considered insufficient in meeting the soft skill requirements needed in the workplace, making non-formal education through CSR programs a strategic alternative. This research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving program managers and participants of the SangSang Mentor program, a flagship initiative of KT&G SangSangUniv focusing on soft skill development through teaching activities at orphanages. The results show that the implementation of the KT&G SangSangUniv CSR program is carried out systematically through curriculum design, teaching sessions, and activity reporting. The program has successfully improved various soft skills among participants, such as communication, collaboration, self-confidence, and time management. Participants experienced tangible benefits in terms of readiness to enter the workforce and enhanced professionalism through practical experiences gained during the program. This study concludes that the KT&G SangSangUniv CSR program makes a significant contribution to the development of soft skills among Generation Z in DKI Jakarta and can serve as a model for non-formal education-based soft skill development relevant to current societal and workforce needs.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) KT&G SangSangUniv dalam mengembangkan soft skill Generasi Z di DKI Jakarta. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh tantangan dunia kerja yang semakin dinamis akibat kemajuan teknologi dan transformasi digital, serta tingginya angka pengangguran di kalangan usia produktif. Pendidikan formal dinilai belum sepenuhnya mampu memenuhi kebutuhan soft skill yang dibutuhkan di dunia kerja, sehingga pendidikan non formal melalui program CSR menjadi alternatif strategis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap pengelola dan peserta program SangSang Mentor, salah satu program unggulan KT&G SangSangUniv yang berfokus pada pengembangan soft skill melalui aktivitas mengajar di panti asuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program CSR KT&G SangSangUniv berjalan secara sistematis melalui perancangan kurikulum, pelaksanaan sesi pengajaran, dan pelaporan kegiatan. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan berbagai soft skill peserta, seperti kemampuan komunikasi, kolaborasi, kepercayaan diri (self confidence), dan manajemen waktu. Peserta merasakan manfaat nyata dalam kesiapan menghadapi dunia kerja dan peningkatan profesionalisme melalui pengalaman praktis yang diperoleh selama program berlangsung. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa program CSR KT&G SangSangUniv memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan soft skill Generasi Z di DKI Jakarta, serta dapat menjadi model pengembangan soft skill berbasis pendidikan non formal yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dan dunia kerja saat ini.
