Abstract
Early childhood is a critical stage where growth and development during this period develops very quickly which takes place in the age range 0-6 years. Every human being has creative potential and from birth, one aspect that is developed in the learning process is creativity. Batik activities can develop creativity. Through batik activities, children can find new ideas, so that children can produce beautiful works, in addition to getting to know and preserve batik culture. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence on creativity through batik candle activities because there is a lack of creativity in children in the Lontar Baru sub-district due to external and internal factors such as a lack of activities that can develop children's creativity, interests and talents. Apart from that, the younger generation from various age groups ranging from toddlers to teenagers are more familiar with technology than with Indonesia's cultural heritage. The reality shows that a number of children are less interested in getting to know cultural characteristics such as batik, which is often complicated and considered ancient. The method used in this research is a quantitative experimental method with a Posttest Only Control Design using two control groups and an experimental group. Based on the analysis that was carried out, differences were found in children's creativity through batik candle activities. The results of the analysis carried out on the control and experimental groups showed a Sig. (2 tailed) of 0,01< 0.05. Using the independent sample t test, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in children's creativity through batik candle activities before being given treatment and after being given treatment.

Additional Information: | Anak Usia dini yaitu merupakan tahapan kritis dimana pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada masa ini berkembang begitu cepat yang berlangsung pada rentang usia 0-6 tahun. Setiap manusia memiliki potensi kreatif dan sejak lahir, salah satu aspek yang dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran yaitu kreativitas. Kegiatan membatik dapat mengegembangkan kreativitas melalui kegiatan membatik anak dapat menemukan ide-ide baru, sehingga anak dapat menghasilkan sebuah karya yang indah, selain mengenal dan melestarikan budaya batik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh kreativitas melalui kegiatan candle batik karena terdapat terdapat kreativitas anak di kelurahan Lontar Baru belum optimal karena factor eksternal dan internal seperti kurangnya kegiatan yang dapat mengembangkan kreativitas, minat dan bakat anak masih minim. Selain itu, generasi muda dari berbagai kelompok usia mulai dari anak balita hingga remaja lebih mengenal dengan teknologi dibandingkan warisan budaya Indonesia. Realitanya menunjukkan bahwa sejumlah anak kurang tertarik untuk mengenal ciri khas budaya seperti batik, yang kerap sebagai yang rumit dan dianggap kuno. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain Posttest Only Control Desaign dengan menggunakan dua kelompok kontrol dan kelompk eksperimen. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan ditemukan perbedaan pada kreativitas anak melalui kegiatan candle batik, hasil analisis yang dilakukan pada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2 tailed) sebesar 0,01< 0,05. Menggunakan uji t independent sample maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pebedaan yang signifikan pada kreativitas anak melalui kegiatan candle batik sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan setelah diberikan perlakuan. | |||||||||
