Abstract
The aim of this research is to describe the managerial role of school principals in improving the quality of education in schools with Driving School status. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this research used interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that the principal, in carrying out his managerial role at the school, plans, organizes, implements and supervises the driving school program involving the school community to work together. Supporting factors for school principals in improving the quality of education in driving schools are teachers being able to adapt to changes in the independent curriculum, support from available facilities and infrastructure, the implementation of transparent, accountable and efficient financing management, as well as the availability of expert trainers in driving schools. The inhibiting factors are uncomfortable classroom conditions, lack of updating of learning media to support learning in the independent curriculum, and a lack of supplies of the main learning resources, namely material books. The output of the principal's managerial role is seen from schools that have improved quality, teachers' ability to continue to improve in carrying out learning and students who have character.

Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai peran manajerial kepala kepala sekolah dalam meingkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah yang berstatus Sekolah Penggerak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriftif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kepala sekolah dalam menjalankan perannya sebagai manajerial disekolah melakukan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan serta pengawasan terakit program sekolah penggerak melibatkan masyarakat sekolah untuk bekerja sama. Faktor pendukung kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah penggerak dengan cara guru mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan kurikulum merdeka, tersedia sarana dan prasarana, terselenggaranya pengelolaan pembiayaan secara transparan, akuntabilitas, efisien, serta ketersediaan pelatih ahli di sekolah penggerak. Faktor penghambatnya kondisi ruangan kelas yang kurang nyaman, kurangnya pembaharuan media pembelajaran penunjang pembelajaran pada kurikulum merdeka, serta kurangnya persediaan sumber belajar utama yaitu buku materi. Output dari peran manajerial kepala sekolah terlihat dari sekolah yang memiliki kualitas yang meningkat, adanya kemampuan guru yang terus meningkat dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran serta peserta didik yang memiliki karakter. | |||||||||
