Abstract

ABSTRACT Mario Putra, NIM. 081142. Adviser team: NekaFitriyah, S.Sos., M.Si. as the first adviser and Dipl.Ing (FH) Rangga Galura G, M.Si. as the second adviser. The tittle of study: “Tjong Tek Bio” Communication Strategy in carrying out cultural activities in the Village Mekarsari Sewan Tangerang. China Fortress is the diversity of Indonesian culture formed from Tionghoa acculturation with local culture that is different from other Chinese culture. "Tjong Tek Bio" is formed in the center of the Chinese Fortress community associations as seeking to preserve the culture of Indo-Tionghoa and supports community relations to keep it running well. To achieve these goals, which is why "Tjong Tek Bio" carrying out She Jit supported with Lion Dance performances, Liong, Lenong and Gambang Keromong. In this regard, researchers interested in studying how the strategies of communication used by Tjong Tek Bio in She Jit. As this study refers to the concept Arifin Anwar how audience analysis, message form, how the delivery of messages as well as the selection and use of media by "Tjong Tek Bio" in She Jit. This study uses a qualitative descriptive. Researchers collected data through interviews and observation. Interviewees in this study are the chairman of the association "Tjong Tek Bio", RW 04, secretary of the village Mekarsari, Chinese society and local society. The results of this study were (1) Tjong Tek Bio audience selected based on priority activities (2) Tjong Tek Bio composing messages in two ways: using an invitation that combined between both text and images and messages directly from the mouth of the mouth (3) Tjong Tek Bio deliver informative method of communication, repetition and persuasive (4) Tjong Tek Bio perform a selection of some media based on a consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of each media , while the media selected by Tjong Tek Bio is Print media and online media such as invitations, flyers, banners and facebook.Based on the results of research conducted, it can be concluded that the strategy of communication "Tjong Tek Bio" in She Jit activities conducted through several steps appropriate strategies of communication by Arifin Anwar concept, in the strategy of communication to support the implementation of Chinese cultural activities, as well as assist the passage of communication interactions both the fort Chinese community with the local community in the Village Mekarsari Sewan Tangerang.

Cina Benteng adalah ragam kebudayaan Indonesia yang terbentuk dari akulturasi budaya Tionghoa dengan budaya lokal yang berbeda dengan budaya Tionghoa lainnya. “Tjong Tek Bio” terbentuk di tengah komunitas Cina Benteng Sewan sebagai perkumpulan yang berusaha melestarikan kebudayaan IndoTionghoa dan mendukung hubungan dengan masyarakat agar tetap berjalan baik.Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, itulah sebabnya “Tjong Tek Bio” melaksanakan kegiatan She Jit yang didukung dengan pertunjukan Barongsai, Liong, Lenong dan Gambang Keromong. Terkait dengan hal tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti bagaimana strategi komunikasi yang digunakan oleh Tjong Tek Bio dalam melaksanakan kegiatan She Jit. Adapun penelitian ini mengacu pada konsep Arifin Anwar yakni bagaimana analisis khalayak, bentuk pesan, cara penyampaian pesan serta seleksi dan penggunaan media yang digunakan oleh “Tjong Tek Bio” dalam melaksanakan kegiatan She Jit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan wawancara dan observasi. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini adalah ketua perkumpulan “Tjong Tek Bio”, ketua RW 04, sekretaris kelurahan Mekarsari, masyarakat Cina Benteng dan masyarakat lokal. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) khalayak Tjong Tek Bio dipilih berdasarkan prioritas kegiatan (2) Tjong Tek Bio menyusun pesan melalui dua cara yakni menggunakan undangan yang dipadu antara teks dan gambar dan kedua yakni pesan langsung dari mulut kemulut (3) Tjong Tek Bio menyampaikan komunikasi dengan metode informatif, pengulangan dan persuasif (4) Tjong Tek Bio melakukan seleksi terhadap beberapa media berdasarkan pada pertimbangan kelebihan dan kekurangan setiap media, adapun media yang dipilih Tjong Tek Bio adalah media Cetak dan media online seperti undangan, brosur, spanduk dan facebook.Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi komunikasi “Tjong Tek Bio” yang dilaksanakan dalam kegiatan She Jit melalui beberapa langkah strategi komunikasi sesuai konsep Arifin Anwar, dimana strategi komunikasi tersebut mendukung terlaksananya kegiatan kebudayaan Cina Benteng, serta membantu berjalannya interaksi komunikasi yang baik antara komunitas Cina Benteng dengan masyarakat lokal di Kelurahan Mekarsari Sewan Tangerang.
