Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the principal's policy and the contribution of teachers in building students' awareness of environmental love through the Kurasaki habituation program at SDN Cibadak 05 Tangerang Regency. The research method applied is a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation collection. The main focus of this study includes the initial state of students' environmental awareness, the planning and implementation of the Kurasaki program, the role of teachers in supporting the program, and the identification of problems and solutions in its implementation. The findings of the study indicate that prior to the implementation of the Kurasaki program, students' environmental awareness was at a low level, which can be seen from the habit of littering. The principal took the initiative by drafting Kurasaki's habituation policy as stated in the school's decree. Teachers play an important role as directors, encouragers, and examples in teaching students to be able to distinguish and dispose of waste in its proper place. The habituation strategy is carried out with an educational approach, direct experience, and incorporation in daily learning activities. The main obstacles in the implementation of this program are the lack of facilities and the instability of student behavior, but this can be overcome through increased commitment of the entire school community and the provision of supporting facilities. In general, the implementation of policies and collaboration between principals and teachers make an important contribution to increasing students' awareness and love for the environment. This discovery has a significant impact on the development of environment-focused character education at the elementary school level.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan kebijakan kepala sekolah dan kontribusi guru dalam membangun sikap kesadaran cinta lingkungan peserta didik melalui program pembiasaan Kurasaki di SDN Cibadak 05 Kabupaten Tangerang. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan pengumpulan dokumentasi. Fokus utama dari penelitian ini mencakup keadaan awal kesadaran lingkungan peserta didik, perencanaan dan penerapan program Kurasaki, peran guru dalam mendukung program tersebut, serta pengidentifikasian masalah dan solusinya dalam pelaksanaannya. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa sebelum implementasi program Kurasaki, kesadaran lingkungan peserta didik berada pada tingkat yang rendah, yang terlihat dari kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan. Kepala sekolah berinisiatif dengan menyusun kebijakan pembiasaan Kurasaki yang dinyatakan dalam surat keputusan sekolah. Guru berperan penting sebagai pengarah, pendorong, dan contoh dalam mengajarkan peserta didik agar dapat membedakan dan membuang sampah pada tempat yang seharusnya. Strategi pembiasaan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan edukasi, pengalaman langsung, dan penggabungan dalam aktivitas pembelajaran setiap hari. Hambatan utama dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah minimnya fasilitas dan ketidakstabilan perilaku peserta didik, tetapi hal ini dapat diatasi melalui peningkatan komitmen seluruh komunitas sekolah dan penyediaan sarana pendukung. Secara umum, penerapan kebijakan dan kolaborasi antara kepala sekolah dan guru memberikan kontribusi penting terhadap peningkatan kesadaran serta sikap mencintai lingkungan para peserta didik. Penemuan ini membawa dampak signifikan terhadap pengembangan pendidikan karakter yang berfokus pada lingkungan di jenjang sekolah dasar. | |||||||||
