Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) cooperative learning model on the motivation and mathematics learning outcomes of grade VIII students at SMP PGRI Kramatwatu. The background of this study is based on the low motivation and learning outcomes of students as indicated by formative values below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), as well as observation results showing that students still have difficulty understanding basic mathematical concepts. This study uses an experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design model. Data collection techniques use learning motivation questionnaires and learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential statistical tests. The results of the study showed that the motivation and learning outcomes of students who participated in learning with the ETH model were significantly higher compared to students who used conventional learning models. Thus, the ETH model has proven effective in improving students' motivation and learning outcomes.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII di SMP PGRI Kramatwatu. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai formatif di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), serta hasil observasi yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dasar matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan model pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket motivasi belajar dan tes hasil belajar berupa pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model ETH lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model ETH terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa.
