Abstract
This study was motivated by the lack of interest in learning and low mathematics learning outcomes. This has led to students feeling bored and struggling to understand the mathematics material taught in class. As a result, mathematics learning outcomes, both in terms of interest and cognitive aspects, are low. One of the factors contributing to the low learning outcomes of students is the use of an inappropriate learning model, as well as the underutilization of technology. Discovery learning is one of the learning models that can be used. With this model, students are guided to construct their own knowledge by solving problems and gaining meaningful knowledge. Additionally, the use of AI technology, particularly ChatGPT, in the learning process will assist students in the syntax of data collection for this learning model. ChatGPT provides input and guidance to students using predetermined keywords. The purpose of this study is to determine the positive impact of AI-assisted discovery learning on student learning outcomes. The learning outcomes referred to are academic achievement and affective learning. The population in this study is all eighth-grade students in Cilegon City. The sample selected consists of 90 eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 2 Kota Cilegon. The sample was selected using random sampling techniques. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest controlled group design. Data were obtained from the results of initial and final ability tests and affective questionnaire data. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive effect of using the AI-assisted discovery learning model on mathematics learning outcomes in the cognitive and affective domains.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya minat belajar dan rendahnya hasil belajar matematika. Hal ini menyebabkan siswa jenuh dan sulit untuk memahami materi matematika yang diajarkan di kelas. Akibatnya, hasil belajar matematika baik dari segi minat dan kognitif rendah. Salah satu faktor yang menjadi alasan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang tepat, serta pemanfaatan teknologi yang kurang maksimal. Discovery learning adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan, dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran tersebut, siswa dibimbing untuk dapat menyusun pengetahuannya sendiri, dengan memecahkan masalah dan memperoleh pengetahuan yang bermakna. Selain itu, penggunaan teknologi AI khususnya ChatGPT dalam proses pembelajaran akan membantu siswa pada sintaks pengumpulan data model pembelajaran ini. ChatGPT memberikan masukan materi dan petunjuk pada siswa menggunakan kata kunci yang sudah ditentukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif model discovery learning berbantuan AI terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hasil belajar yang dimaksud adalah prestasi belajar dan afektif siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII di kota Cilegon. Sampel yang dipilih adalah 90 peserta didik kelas VIII di MTs Negeri 2 Kota Cilegon. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan desain pretest-posttest controlled group. Data diperoleh dari hasil tes kemampuan awal dan tes kemampuan akhir siswa serta data angket afektif siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif dari penggunaan model discovery learning berbantuan AI herhadap hasil belajar matematika dari ranah kognitif dan afektif. | |||||||||
