Abstract

Critical thinking skills are very important skills in supporting understanding, evaluation, and decision making based on logic and relevant evidence. In the context of mathematics, critical thinking includes interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, and self-regulation that help students understand and solve a problem. Critical thinking skills can be influenced by various factors, one of which is personality type, namely introvert and extrovert. The study aims to analyze students' mathematical critical thinking skills according to Bolton's stages in two personality types, namely introvert and extrovert. The subjects in this study were class X students majoring in accounting at SMK Nurul Huda Baros, where this study used purposive sampling which would take 2 introvert students and 2 extrovert students as the focus of the study. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The procedures used in this study include the preparation stage, implementation, data analysis, and the compilation stage. The results of this study indicate that students' critical mathematical thinking skills can be influenced by the personality of both introvert and extrovert students, but the changes are not very significant in the assessment of test questions, but it can be seen that introvert students are more careful in writing down the steps of their work and extrovert students explore the steps used in their work more.

Additional Information: Kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi keterampilan yang sangat penting dalam mendukung pemahaman, evaluasi, dan pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan logika dan bukti yang relevan. Dalam konteks matematika, berpikir kritis mencakup interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, inferensi, eksplanasi, dan pengaturan diri yang membantu siswa dalam memahami dan menyelesaikan suatu persoalan. Kemampuan berpikir kritis dapat dipengaruhi dari berbagai faktor, salah satunya tipe kepribadian yaitu introvert dan ekstrovert. Penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa menurut tahapan Bolton dalam dua tipe kepribadian yaitu introvert dan ekstrovert. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X jurusan akuntansi SMK Nurul Huda Baros, dimana penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling yang akan diambil 2 siswa introvert dan 2 siswa exstrovert sebagai fokus penelitian. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Prosedur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, analisis data, serta tahap penyusunan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dapat dipengaruhi oleh kepribadian siswa baik introvert dan exstrovert tetapi perubahannya tidak terlalu signifikan pada penilaian soal tes, namun dapat dilihat bahwa siswa introvert lebih berhati - hati dalam menuliskan langkah pengerjaannya dan siswa ekstrovert lebih mengeksplor langkah yang digunakan dalam pengerjaannya.
