Abstract
This study aims to determine the significant positive influence of applying Realistic Mathematics Education with the Project Based Learning model on senior high school students conceptual understanding of mathematics. The method used is quasi-experimental with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were tenth grade students at SMAIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon, divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The research instrument was an essay test consisting of 7 items designed to measure students mathematical conceptual understanding. The results showed a significant difference in posttest scores between students taught using Realistic Mathematics Education with the Project Based Learning model and those taught using the expository method. Statistical analysis using the Independent Sample t-Test indicated a significance value of less than 0.05, which means that there is a significant positive effect. Therefore, Realistic Mathematics Education with the Project Based Learning model can be considered an alternative strategy to enhance the effectiveness of mathematics instruction.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari penerapan pembelajaran matematika realistik dengan model Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X di SMAIT Raudhatul Jannah Cilegon, yang di bagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes esai yang terdiri dari 7 butir soal untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil posttest siswa yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran matematika realistik dengan model Project Based Learning dibandingkan siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode ekspositori. Uji statistik emnggunakan Independent Sample t-Test menunjukkan hasil signifikansi kurang dari 0,05 yang mengartikan bahwa adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran matematika realistik dengan model Project Based Learning dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran matematika. | |||||||||
