Abstract
This study was motivated by the low ability of grade 5 elementary school students in understanding reading texts. The purpose of this research is to develop digital teaching materials based on local wisdom, especially Banten folklore, by applying the PQ4R method to improve reading comprehension skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and test (pretest and posttest). The results showed that the digital teaching materials developed were very feasible to use with the effectiveness of the teaching materials as evidenced by the increase in student learning outcomes, with an N-Gain value of 0.71 which is included in the high category. Very positive response results from students, with an average response questionnaire score of 90%. Thus, digital teaching materials based on local wisdom (Banten folklore) with the PQ4R method proved to be effective, interesting, and relevant to improve students' reading comprehension.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa kelas 5 SD dalam memahami teks bacaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar digital berbasis kearifan lokal, khususnya cerita rakyat Banten, dengan menerapkan metode PQ4R untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri dari tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan tes (pretest dan posttest). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar digital yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk digunakan dengan keefektifan bahan ajar tersebut dibuktikan melalui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,71 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil respons yang sangat positif dari siswa, dengan rata-rata skor angket respon sebesar 90%. Dengan demikian bahan ajar digital berbasis kearifan lokal (cerita rakyat Banten) dengan metode PQ4R terbukti efektif, menarik, dan relevan untuk meningkatkan membaca pemahaman siswa. | |||||||||
