Abstract
A person who has the competence of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is able to think systematically, critically, and reflectively in dealing with complex environmental problems such as carbon footprint issues. In the current era of globalization and sustainability challenges, education plays an important role in instilling sustainability values and developing these competencies. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences before and after the implementation of the Probing-Prompting learning model on students' ESD competencies. This type of research is a quasi-experiment using a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in this study were students of grades X-9 and X-8 of SMAN 6 Pandeglang with 35 students in each class. The study used several instruments, namely teaching modules, teaching materials/LKPD, test questions and observation sheets. The research data were processed using the Microsoft Excel application and analyzed using the SPSS Version 26.0 application. The results of the study proved that there were differences before and after the implementation of the learning model based on the data obtained, namely the sig. value (2-tailed) in the hypothesis test 0.004 <0.05. Proven by the percentage results in the experimental class, namely the pretest of 69% and the posttest of 83%, while the percentage in the control class, namely the pretest of 55% and the posttest of 79%. In addition, it can be proven by the N- Gain value of 8 ESD Competencies, namely a value of 0.76 with high criteria. The results of student observations were obtained, namely 81% with good criteria.

Di era globalisasi dan tantangan keberlanjutan saat ini, pendidikan memegang peran penting dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keberlanjutan dan mengembangkan kompetensi tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Probing-Prompting terhadap kompetensi ESD siswa. Jenis penelitian ini quasi experimen dengan menggunakan desain pretest Posttest control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X-9 dan X-8 SMAN 6 Pandeglang dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 35 siswa. Penelitian menggunakan beberapa instrument yaitu modul ajar, bahan ajar/ LKPD, soal tes dan lembar observasi. Data hasil penelitian diolah dengan menggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Excel da dianalisis dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS Version 26.0. Hasil penelitian membuktikan adanya perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya model pembelajaran berdasarkan data yang diperoleh yaitu nilai sig. (2-tailed) pad auji hipotesus 0,004<0,05. Dibuktikan pada hasil persentase pada kelas eksperimen yakni pretest sebesar 69% dan posttest sebesar 83%, sedangkan persentase pada kelas kontrol yakni pretest sebesar 55% dan posttest sebesar 79%. Selain itu, dpaat dibuktikan pada nilai N-Gain 8 Kompetensi ESD yaitu diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,76 dengan kriteria tinggi.
