Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of farmers' perceptions on their interest in participating in the Rice Farming Insurance Program (AUTP) in Teritih Village, Walantaka Sub-district, Serang City. The background of this research is the low participation of farmers in the AUTP program, despite its objective of protecting them from crop failure risks. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method with a census technique involving 54 respondents. Data analysis includes descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results show that farmers' perceptions are relatively high in terms of the benefits and premium costs of the program, although there are still obstacles related to administrative procedures and technical services. Farmers' interest is categorized as moderate; while their attention and curiosity toward the program are high, active involvement remains low. Regression analysis reveals that, simultaneously, the variables of perceived benefits, ease and cost, and effectiveness significantly influence farmers' interest (sig. 0.000 < 0.05). Partially, only perceived benefits (sig. 0.036) and perceived ease and cost (sig. 0.008) have a significant effect, while perceived effectiveness does not (sig. 0.476). The Adjusted R Square value of 0.298 indicates that perception variables contribute 29.8% to farmers' interest in participating in AUTP. | Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh persepsi petani terhadap minat dalam mengikuti Program Asuransi Usaha Tani Padi (AUTP) di Desa Teritih, Kecamatan Walantaka, Kota Serang. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya partisipasi petani dalam program AUTP, meskipun program ini bertujuan untuk melindungi mereka dari risiko gagal panen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik sensus yang melibatkan 54 responden. Analisis data meliputi analisis deskriptif dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi petani tergolong tinggi dalam hal manfaat dan biaya premi program, meskipun masih terdapat kendala terkait prosedur administrasi dan layanan teknis. Minat petani dikategorikan sedang; meskipun perhatian dan rasa ingin tahu mereka terhadap program cukup tinggi, keterlibatan aktif masih rendah. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan, variabel persepsi manfaat, kemudahan dan biaya, serta efektivitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat petani (sig. 0,000 < 0,05). Secara parsial, hanya persepsi manfaat (sig. 0,036) dan persepsi kemudahan dan biaya (sig. 0,008) yang berpengaruh signifikan, sedangkan persepsi efektivitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan (sig. 0,476). Nilai Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,298 menunjukkan bahwa variabel persepsi memberikan kontribusi sebesar 29,8% terhadap minat petani dalam mengikuti program AUTP.
