Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of father involvement in parenting on the social development of children aged 5–6 years at TK IT Bina Bangsa Serang-Banten. The background of this research is based on the importance of the father's role in early childhood development, particularly in the social aspect. This research uses a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto method. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires distributed to the fathers of the students. The sample consisted of 30 respondents selected through total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression assisted by SPSS version 26. The results showed a positive and significant influence of father involvement in parenting on children's social development, with a regression coefficient of 3.225 and a significance value of 0.006 (p < 0.05). The Beta coefficient of 0.436 indicates a moderate level of influence. Thus, the higher the father's involvement in parenting, the better the social development of the child. These findings emphasize the importance of the father's presence as a central figure in shaping the character and social skills of early childhood

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Keterlibatan Pengasuhan Ayah Terhadap Perkembangan Sosial Anak Usia 5–6 Tahun Di TK IT Bina Bangsa Serang-Banten. Latar belakang penelitian ini dilandasi oleh pentingnya peran ayah dalam proses tumbuh kembang anak, khususnya dalam aspek sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex-post facto. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada ayah dari peserta didik. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang, dengan teknik non-puposive atau probability sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dengan menggunakan bantuan software SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara keterlibatan pengasuhan ayah terhadap perkembangan sosial anak, dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 3,225 dan nilai signifikansi 0,006 (p < 0,05). Nilai Beta sebesar 0,436 menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh yang diberikan tergolong sedang. Dengan demikian, semakin besar proses keterlibatan pengasuhan ayah, maka semakin baik perkembangan sosial anak. Hasil ini memperkuat pentingnya keterlibatan ayah sebagai figur utama dalam pembentukan karakter dan kemampuan sosial anak usia dini. | |||||||||
