Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of teacher professional competence on teacher performance; the influence of organizational climate on teacher performance; and the influence of professional competence and organizational climate together on teacher performance. This type of research is explanatory research. The number of research samples was set at 54 respondents or a number of populations. Data collection techniques used questionnaires. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of professional competence on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient of 0,730, a determination coefficient of 0.533, and a regression equation of Y = 22,937+0,687X1. Thus, the better the teacher's professional competence, the higher the teacher's performance. There is a significant influence of organizational climate on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient of 0.581, a determination coefficient of 0.338, and a regression equation of Y = 44,448+0,443X2. Thus, a positive organizational climate will be followed by higher teacher performance. There is an influence of professional competence and organizational climate together on teacher performance with a correlation coefficient of 0.746, a determination coefficient of 0.557, and a regression equation of Y = 20,093+0,491X1+0,251X2. Thus, the higher the professional competence and organizational climate will be followed by higher teacher performance.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi profesional guru terhadap kinerja guru; pengaruh iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja guru; dan pengaruh kompetensi profesional dan iklim organisasi secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru. Tipe penelitian ini adalah penelitian penjelasan (explanatory research). Jumlah sampel penelitian ditetapkan sejumlah 54 responden atau sejumlah populasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh signifikan kompetensi profesional terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,730, Koefisien determinasi 0,533 , dan persamaan regresinya Y = 22,937+0,687X1. dengan demikian, semakin tinggi kompetensi profesional guru maka akan semakin tinggi kinerja guru. Terdapat pengaruh siginifikan iklim organisasi terhadap kinerja guru dengan nilai koefisien korelasi 0,581, Koefisien determinasi 0,338, dan persamaan regresinya Y= 44,448+0,443X2 dengan demikian iklim organisasi yang positif akan diikuti oleh kinerja guru yang semakin tinggi. Terdapat pengaruh kompetensi profesional dan iklim organisasi secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru dengan koefisien korelasi 0,746, Koefisien determinasi 0,557, dan persamaan regresinya Y= 20,093+0,491X1+0,251X2. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi kompetensi profesional dan iklim organisasi positif, maka akan diikuti dengan kinerja guru yang semakin tinggi.
