Abstract
Pencak Silat Bandrong is an artistic heritage whose development and spread is very rapid to this day in Cilegon City. To preserve the original regional culture, the Cilegon City Government together with art studios in Cilegon City created the Kreasi Dance whose foundation was taken from the art of Pencak Silat Bandrong. The aim of this research is to analyze the structure and meaning of movements contained in the Bandrong Ing Cilegon Creative Dance seen from the structure of movements based on hierarchical, syntagmatic and paradigmatic as well as the meaning of movements based on Trichotomy semiotic analysis by Pierce. This research method uses qualitative with an ethnochoreological approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. Based on research results, the Bandrong Ing Cilegon Creative Dance has 15 movement motifs, namely: (1) Pasang, (2) Gentus, (3) Tonjok, (4) Tangkis, (5) Gunting, (6) Catrok, (7) Beset, (8) Colok, (9) Sepak, (10) Lima Pukul, (11) Bandrong, (12) Rogo, (13) Kuitang, (14) Banteng Malang, (15) Rambet. Then there are 7 Movement Phrases, 10 Movement Sentences, and 1 Movement Cluster. Bandrong Ing Cilegon's creative dance movements are based on hierarchical relationships in terms of body sequences consisting of 1 head movement, 7 hand movements, 4 body movements and 3 foot movements. Then there are 2 movement motifs which are syntagmatic and 13 movement motifs which are paradigmatic. Each movement motif has a sign that produces meaning which is analyzed using Peirce's trichotomy model, namely something that refers to the sign is called a representament, then looking at the sign as a reference is called an object and produces an interpretant which gives meaning to the sign. Additional Information: | Pencak Silat Bandrong merupakan warisan kesenian yang perkembangan dan penyebarannya sangat pesat hingga saat ini di Kota Cilegon. Untuk melestarikan kebudayaan asli daerah, Pemerintah Kota Cilegon bersama sanggar- sanggar kesenian yang ada di Kota Cilegon menciptakan Tari Kreasi yang pijakannya diambil dari kesenian Pencak Silat Bandrong. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis struktur dan makna gerak yang terdapat dalam Tari Kreasi Bandrong Ing Cilegon dilihat dari struktur gerak berdasarkan hirarkis, sintagmatis dan paradigmatis serta makna gerak berdasarkan analisis semiotika trikotomi oleh Pierce. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnokoreologi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa Tari Kreasi Bandrong Ing Cilegon memiliki 15 Motif Gerak yaitu: (1) Pasang, (2) Gentus, (3) Tonjok, (4) Tangkis, (5) Gunting, (6) Catrok, (7) Beset, (8) Colok, (9) Sepak, (10) Lima Pukul, (11) Bandrong, (12) Rogo, (13) Kuitang, (14) Banteng Malang, (15) Rambet. Kemudian terdapat 7 Frase Gerak, 10 Kalimat Gerak, dan 1 Gugus Gerak. Gerak Tari Kreasi Bandrong Ing Cilegon berdasarkan hubungan hirarkis yang ditinjau dari urutan tubuh terdiri dari 1 gerak kepala, 7 gerak tangan, 4 gerak badan dan 3 gerak kaki. Kemudian terdapat 2 motif gerak yang termasuk sintagmatis dan 13 motif gerak yang termasuk paradigmatis. Pada setiap motif gerak memiliki tanda yang menghasilkan makna yang dianalisis menggunakan model trikotomi oleh Pierce, yaitu sesuatu yang merujuk pada tanda disebut representament kemudian melihat tanda sebagai acuan disebut object dan menghasilkan interpretant yang merupakan pemberian makna pada tanda tersebut.
