Abstract
This study aims to analyze the preservation of Banten's local wisdom values through the Panjang Mulud tradition in strengthening the civic culture of the community in the Old Banten Area. The Panjang Mulud tradition, which is held every 12 Rabiul Awal, is not only a religious celebration but also reflects the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and social solidarity. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with an ethnographic approach, involving interviews, observations, and documentation of community leaders, kenadziran, and local residents. The results of the study indicate that Panjang Mulud is able to strengthen civic culture through active community involvement, mutual trust, tolerance, and community spirit. However, this tradition faces challenges such as the impact of modernization, economic constraints, and minimal cultural regeneration. Conservation efforts require collaboration between the community, traditional leaders, educational institutions, and the government. This study concludes that Panjang Mulud is not only a cultural heritage, but also an effective means of forming ethical and responsible citizenship characters.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelestarian nilai kearifan lokal Banten melalui tradisi Panjang Mulud dalam memperkuat budaya kewarganegaraan masyarakat di Kawasan Banten Lama. Tradisi Panjang Mulud, yang dilaksanakan setiap 12 Rabiul Awal, tidak hanya menjadi perayaan keagamaan tetapi juga mencerminkan nilai-nilai kebersamaan, gotong royong, dan solidaritas sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan etnografi, melibatkan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap tokoh masyarakat, kenadziran, dan warga sekitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Panjang Mulud mampu memperkuat budaya kewarga negaraan melalui keterlibatan aktif warga, sikap saling percaya, toleransi, serta semangat kemasyarakatan. Namun, tradisi ini menghadapi tantangan seperti dampak modernisasi, kendala ekonomi, dan minimnya regenerasi budaya. Upaya pelestarian memerlukan kolaborasi antara masyarakat, tokoh adat, lembaga pendidikan, dan pemerintah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Panjang Mulud bukan hanya sebagai warisan budaya, tetapi juga sebagai sarana efektif dalam membentuk karakter kewarganegaraan yang beretika dan bertanggung jawab. | |||||||||
