Abstract

The role of public relations in information disclosure is very crucial, especially in the context of government institutions that aim to build transparency and public trust. Along with the development of communication technology, government public relations is using social media, especially Instagram, to interact and convey information to the public. The purpose of this research is to find out how the 7Cs public relations strategy in conveying public information implemented by Diskominfo Tangsel through Instagram @humaskotatangsel. The theory used in this research is excellence theory and the 7Cs Public Relations strategy. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research with a Post-Positivism paradigm. The results of this research are (1) Credibility is built by presenting accurate and verified information. (2) Context is considered by adapting the information to the needs of the Tangsel citizens . (3) Content is designed in an interesting visual format with a variety of relevant public information. (4) Clarity is applied by using simple and easy to understand language. (5) Continuity & consistency is applied by repeating the message periodically between 18:00-21:00 WIB every day. (6) The channel used is Instagram by utilizing the interesting features available. (7) Capability of audience is applied based on the target audience openness of the public interaction space in the direct message (DM) feature and comment column.

Additional Information: Peran humas dalam keterbukaan informasi sangat krusial, terutama dalam konteks lembaga pemerintah yang berupaya membangun transparansi dan kepercayaan publik. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi komunikasi, humas pemerintah memanfaatkan media sosial khususnya Instagram untuk berinteraksi dan menyampaikan informasi kepada masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi 7Cs Public Relations dalam penyampaian informasi publik yang diterapkan Diskominfo Tangsel melalui Instagram @humaskotatangsel. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori excellence dan strategi 7Cs Public Relations. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan paradigma post-positivisme. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Credibility (Kredibilitas) dibangun melalui penyajian informasi yang akurat dan terverifikasi. (2) Context (Konteks) diperhatikan dengan menyesuaikan informasi sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat Kota Tangsel. (3) Content (Isi) dirancang dalam format visual yang menarik dengan beragam informasi publik yang relevan. (4) Clarity (Kejelasan) diterapkan dengan penggunaan bahasa sederhana dan mudah dipahami. (5) Continuity & Consistency (Kontinuitas & Konsistensi) diterapkan dengan pengulangan pesan secara berkala pada rentang waktu 18.00-21.00 WIB setiap harinya. (6) Channel (Saluran) yang digunakan adalah Instagram dengan memanfaatkan fitur-fitur menarik yang tersedia. (7) Capability of Audience (Kapabilitas Khalayak) diterapkan berdasarkan target audiens dan keterbukaan ruang interaksi publik pada fitur direct message (DM) dan kolom komentar.
