Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of symbolic modeling technique group guidance services on the career planning of class XI SMAS Plus Permata Insani Islamic School students. The design of this research is quasi-experimental, the population in this study is class XI SMAS Plus Permata Insani Islamic School students consisting of classes XI KMP 1A, XI KMP 1B, XI KMP 2A, and The results after carrying out the pre-test showed that for a total of 137 students, there were 14 students in the low category, 85 students in the medium category, and 38 students in the high category. The treatment was given to the students in the sample in this study who were in the low category, divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group with each group member consisting of 6 students. The data analysis method used in this research is the N-Gain score test analysis and the Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney U test data, the Asymp.sig (2-tailed) value was 0.04. Based on hypothetical decision making, the value of 0.04 is lower than the value of 0.05, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that group guidance using symbolic modeling techniques has an influence on senior high school (SMA) students' career planning.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik modeling simbolik terhadap perencanaan karir siswa kelas XI SMAS Plus Permata Insani Islamic School. Desain penelitian ini ialah kuasi eksperimen, populasi dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas XI SMAS Plus Permata Insani Islamic School yang terdiri dari kelas XI KMP 1A, XI KMP 1B, XI KMP 2A, dan XI KMP 2B dengan total jumlah siswa yaitu 137 orang. Hasil setelah melaksanakan pre-test memperlihatkan hasil dari jumlah 137 siswa, terdapat 14 siswa termasuk pada kategori rendah, 85 siswa termasuk pada kategori sedang, dan 38 siswa termasuk pada kategori tinggi. Pemberian treatment (perlakuan) dilakukan kepada siswa yang menjadi sampel pada penelitian ini yang termasuk pada kategori rendah terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan masing-masing aggota kelompok berjumlah 6 siswa. Metode analisis data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis uji N-Gain score dan uji Uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil data uji Mann-Whitney U didapatkan didapatkan hasil nilai Asymp.sig (2-tailed) yaitu 0,04. Berdasarkan pada pengambilan keputusan hipotesis, nilai 0,04 lebih rendah dibandingkan nilai 0,05 maka didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa hipotesis diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik modeling simbolik berpengaruh pada perencanaan karir siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA).
