Abstract
This research is motivated by the low motivation of Indonesian students in learning mathematics, as reflected in the 2022 PISA results, which show performance far below the OECD average. This condition highlights the need for instructional tools that can enhance student engagement. Under the Merdeka Curriculum, teachers have the flexibility to develop teaching materials suited to student characteristics, one of which is through student worksheets (LKPD). The gamification approach has been proven effective in increasing learning motivation, yet it is still rarely implemented systematically in mathematics worksheets. Therefore, this study aims to develop a gamified LKPD called Mathleaty to support more engaging mathematics learning. This study uses the Need Capability Analysis (NCA) development model which consists of seven stages: (1) user needs analysis, (2) developer capability analysis, (3) product design, (4) product development, (5) expert judgements, (6) field testing, and (7) final product. The trial implementation was carried out on 20 grade VIII students at MTs Hidayatul Ula Lebak. The results of the feasibility test at the expert assessment stage showed that the product received a score from material experts of 88%, media experts 85%, and gamification experts 78% so that the product developed received the criteria of very feasible. The practicality test obtained results from teachers of 95% and from students of 88%, which are included in the very practical category. The results of the initial and final scale learning motivation questionnaire analysis were analyzed using a paired t-test showing a significant increase in learning motivation. Based on these results, the Student Worksheets (LKPD) developed was declared feasible and practical for use in learning and can increase learning motivation.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar matematika siswa Indonesia, tercermin dari hasil PISA 2022 yang menunjukkan capaian rendah di bawah rata-rata OECD. Kondisi ini menekankan pentingnya perangkat ajar yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, guru memiliki kebebasan untuk mengembangkan perangkat ajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa, salah satunya melalui LKPD. Pendekatan gamifikasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar, namun masih jarang diterapkan secara sistematis dalam LKPD matematika. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan LKPD berbasis gamifikasi bernama Mathleaty untuk mendukung pembelajaran matematika yang lebih menarik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Need Capability Analysis (NCA) yang terdiri dari tujuh tahap: (1) analisis kebutuhan pengguna, (2) analisis kemampuan pengembang, (3) desain produk, (4) pengembangan produk, (5) penilaian ahli, (6) uji lapangan, dan (7) produk akhir. Implementasi uji coba dilakukan pada 20 siswa kelas VIII di MTs Hidayatul Ula Lebak. Hasil uji kelayakan pada tahap penilaian ahli menunjukkan bahwa produk mendapat nilai dari ahli materi sebesar 88%, ahli media 85%, dan ahli gamifikasi 78% sehingga produk yang dikembangkan mendapat kriteria sangat layak. Uji kepraktisan memperoleh hasil dari guru sebesar 95% dan dari siswa sebesar 88%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis Hasil analisis angket motivasi belajar skala awal dan akhir dianalisis dengan uji-t berpasangan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar yang signifikan.
