Abstract

This study aims to determine the fine motor skills of a second-grade student with cerebral palsy at SKh Negeri 01 Pandeglang using finger painting as a medium. The research employed an experimental method with a single-subject research (SSR) approach using an A-B-A design. The subject of the study was a second-grade student with motor impairments due to cerebral palsy. The target behavior in this research was fine motor skills. Data collection techniques included observation and performance tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and presented in graphical form. Based on the results, finger painting media was found to improve the subject’s fine motor skills. This is evident from the increase in the percentage score of fine motor abilities from 33.33% during the first baseline phase (A1), rising to 83.33% during the intervention phase (B), and remaining stable at 66.66% during the second baseline phase (A2). Finger painting proved effective in stimulating eye-hand coordination and strengthening the fine muscles of the child's fingers. The implications of this research suggest that finger painting can serve as an enjoyable and functional alternative learning medium for children with motor impairments, particularly those with cerebral palsy. These findings also provide recommendations for teachers, parents, and education practitioners to be more creative in selecting media that meet the needs of children with special needs. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that finger painting media can improve the fine motor skills of children with motor impairments at SKh Negeri 01 Pandeglang.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan motorik halus pada siswa celebral palsy kelas II SDKh di SKh Negeri 01 Pandeglang dengan menggunakan media finger painting. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan single subjek research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Subjek dalam penelitian ini salah satu siswa kelas II SDKh dengan hambatan motorik celebral palsy. Perilaku sasaran penelitian ini adalah kemampuan motorik halus. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan observasi, dan tes perbuatan. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu statistik deskriptif dengan penyajian grafik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media finger painting dapat meningkakan kemampuan motorik halus subjek. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan skor persentase kemampuan motorik halus dari 33,33% pada fase baseline-1 (A1), meningkat menjadi 83,33% saat intervensi (B), dan stabil meningkat pada fase baseline-2 (A2) 66,66%. Media finger painting terbukti efektif dalam menstimulasi koordinasi antara mata dan tangan serta memperkuat otot-otot halus jari tangan anak. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa finger painting dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan fungsional dalam pendidikan anak dengan hambatan motorik, khususnya cerebral palsy. Hasil ini juga memberikan rekomendasi kepada guru, orang tua, dan praktisi pendidikan untuk lebih kreatif dalam memilih media yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media finger painting dapat meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak dengan hambatan motorik di SKh Negeri 01 Pandeglang.
