Abstract
Background: The quality of nursing services is an important aspect in increasing the level of patient satisfaction, including parents of hospitalized pediatric patients. Nursing services include five main dimensions, namely reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible evidence. Patient satisfaction reflects a subjective assessment of the service experience and is greatly influenced by the extent to which the service is able to meet or exceed patient expectations. Research Purpose: To analyze the relationship between the quality of nursing services and the level of parental satisfaction in the pediatric inpatient ward of the Banten Provincial General Hospital. Method: This study is a quantitative study with a descriptive correlational design and a cross sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 73 parents of pediatric patients, determined using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the Chi Square test to determine the relationship between the two variables. Results: Most respondents considered the quality of nursing services to be poor (56.2%) and stated that they were dissatisfied (53.4%). The test results showed a significant relationship between the quality of nursing services and the level of parental satisfaction (p = 0.000 with an OR value of 40.5; CI: (10.3-157.7). Conclusion: Dissatisfaction arises because the quality of nursing services provided has not been able to meet patient expectations. This confirms that the quality of nursing services plays a direct role in shaping patient satisfaction.

Additional Information: | Latar belakang: Mutu pelayanan keperawatan merupakan aspek penting dalam meningkatkan tingkat kepuasan pasien, termasuk orang tua pasien anak yang dirawat di rumah sakit. Pelayanan keperawatan meliputi lima dimensi utama yaitu kehandalan (reliability), daya tanggap (responsiveness), jaminan (assurance), empati (emphaty) dan bukti fisik (tangible). Kepuasan pasien mencerminkan penilaian subjektif terhadap pengalaman pelayanan dan sangat dipengaruhi oleh sejauh mana layanan mampu memenuhi atau melebihi harapan pasien. Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan mutu pelayanan keperawatan dengan tingkat kepuasan orang tua di ruang rawat inap anak Rumah Sakit Umum Provinsi Banten. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif korelasional dan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 73 orang tua pasien anak, ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin dan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi Square untuk mengetahui hubungan kedua variabel. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden menilai mutu pelayanan keperawatan tidak baik (56,2%) dan menyatakan tidak puas (53,4%). Hasil uji menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara mutu pelayanan keperawatan dan tingkat kepuasan orang tua (p=0,000) dengan nilai OR=40,5; CI: (10,3-157,7). Simpulan: Ketidakpuasan muncul akibat mutu pelayanan keperawatan yang diberikan belum mampu memenuhi harapan pasien.
