Abstract
The purpose of this research is to meet the needs related to problem-based learning-based electronic teaching materials as a learning source in chassis subjects in vocational high schools in accordance with the needs of teachers and students of automotive expertise programs. The research on the development of electronic teaching materials is carried out based on the needs found in vocational high schools, especially in the current chassis subjects, such as; First, the majority of the use of teaching materials is still in the form of printed modules that are less practical and effective; Second, learning methods that are still teacher-centered and have not fostered student independence in solving problems in automotive competence; Third, 91.7% of educators need a teaching material that practically contains material in accordance with industry specifications, which can foster interest in reading and improve learning understanding and competence in students; Fourth, learning quality decreases because teachers tend to use conventional teaching materials. These considerations are used by researchers to develop electronic teaching materials based on problem-based learning chassis learning. The research method used in this research is the ADDIE Research and Development model with the stages of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate., implementation which is carried out in vocational high schools of automotive expertise programs in Banten Province, namely the areas of Serang City, Serang Regency, and Cilegon City with a total of 164 respondents and 20 teachers. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires, interviews, and tests. For the validation of electronic teaching materials carried out by media experts and material experts on chassis subjects. The results of the research are as follows: (1) Producing electronic teaching materials based on problem-based learning chassis learning in automotive vocational school students, the product developed is suitable for use based on the validation of media experts with an assessment percentage of 89% (very feasible), material experts with an assessment percentage of 94% (very feasible). (2) Student responses on a small scale obtained an assessment percentage of 85% (very interested) and student responses on a large scale related to the electronic teaching materials developed obtained an assessment percentage of 79% (interested). (3) Teachers' responses to the developed electronic teaching material products obtained an assessment percentage of 90% (very effective) to be used in the learning process. (4) The effectiveness of the use of electronic teaching materials on cognitive aspects was obtained with an average percentage of N-gain of 0.67 or N-gain percentage of 67, which is included in the category of quite effective and 84 students are included in the competent category based on assessments from cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Additional Information: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan terkait bahan ajar elektronik berbasis problem based learning sebagai sumber pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran chassis di sekolah menengah kejuruan sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dan siswa program keahlian otomotif. Penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar elektronik ini dilakukan berdasarkan pada kebutuhan yang terdapat di sekolah menengah kejuruan khususnya pada mata pelajaran chassis yang ada saat ini, seperti; Pertama, mayoritas penggunaan bahan ajar masih dalam bentuk modul cetak yang kurang praktis dan efektif; Kedua, metode pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru dan belum menumbuhkan kemandirian siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada kompetensi otomotif; Ketiga, 91,7 % pendidik membutuhkan sebuah bahan ajar yang praktis berisi materi sesuai dengan spesifikasi industri, yang dapat menumbuhkan minat baca dan meningkatkan pemahaman belajar serta kompetensi pada siswa; Keempat, kualitas pembelajaran menurun karena guru cenderung menggunakan bahan ajar konvensional. Pertimbangan tersebut yang digunakan oleh peneliti untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar elektronik berbasis problem based learning pembelajaran chassis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model Research and Development ADDIE dengan tahapan Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement dan Evaluate, impelementation yang dilakukan di sekolah menengah kejuruan program keahlian otomotif yang ada di Provinsi Banten, yakni wilayah Kota Serang, Kabupaten Serang, dan Kota Cilegon dengan total responden sebanyak 164 siswa dan 20 guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner, interview, dan test. Untuk validasi bahan ajar elektronik dilakukan oleh ahli media dan ahli materi pada mata pelajaran chassis. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Menghasilkan bahan ajar elektronik berbasis problem based learning pembelajaran chassis pada siswa SMK otomotif, produk yang dikembangkan layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi ahli media dengan prosentase penilaian sebesar 89% (sangat layak), ahli materi dengan prosentase penilaian sebesar 94% (sangat layak). (2) Respon siswa pada skala kecil memperoleh prosentase penilaian 85% (sangat tertarik) dan respon siswa pada skala besar terkait bahan ajar elektronik yang dikembangkan memperoleh prosentase penilaian 79% (tertarik). (3) Respon guru terhadap produk bahan ajar elektronik yang dikembangkan memperoleh prosentase penilaian 90% (sangat efektif) untuk digunakan pada proses pembelajaran. (4) Efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar elektronik terhadap aspek kognitif diperoleh rata-rata prosentase sebesar Ngain sebesar 0,67 atau N-gain prosentase sebesar 67 hal ini masuk dalam kategori cukup efektif dan 84 siswa masuk dalam kategori kompeten berdasarkan penilaian dari aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. | |||||||||
