Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of visual and audio-visual media on student learning outcomes in the TKRO expertise program at SMK Negeri 1 Ciruas. This study is a quantitative study with an experimental method. This study was conducted using 69 student samples selected non-randomly. The research instrument used was a test sheet for learning outcome variables with a multiple-choice scale of 40 questions and a Likert scale for visual and audio-visual media variables. The validity of the instrument used the Person Product Moment correlation technique, while the reliability test of the instrument used the Sperman-Brown formula. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using SPSS 20.0 windows. The results showed that the results of the regression analysis of this study produced the equation Y = -122.276 + 1.595X which showed that the use of learning media had a positive effect on student learning outcomes. With a correlation value of 0.801 and a coefficient of determination of 64.1%, the correlation results showed that the influence of learning media was very strong, indicating that the use of learning media affected student learning outcomes. In addition, the results of the hypothesis test show a t count of 2.316 with a significance of 0.103 and a t table value at a significance level of α = 0.05 with (df) = N-2 = 69-2 = 67 obtained at 1.667, then t count 2.316 > t table 1.667 with a significance level of 5% with t count > t table then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This shows that there is an influence of the use of visual and audio-visual media on student learning outcomes in the TKRO expertise program of SMK Negeri 1 Ciruas.

Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar soal tes untuk variabel hasil belajar dengan skala pilihan ganda sebanyak 40 soal serta skala likert untuk variabel media visual dan audio-visual. Validitas instumen menggunakan teknik korelasi Person Product Moment, sedangkan uji reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan rumus Sperman-Brown. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan SPSS 20.0 windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis regresi penelitian ini menghasilkan persamaan Y= -122,276 + 1,595X yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media visual dan audio-visual berpengaruh positif dengan nilai hasil belajar siswa. Dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,801 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 64,1%, hasil korelasi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh media pembelajaran sangat kuat, yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media visual dan audio-visual mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu, hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan thitung sebesar 2,316 dengan signifikan 0,103 dan nilai ttabel pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dengan (df)=N-2=69-2=67 diperoleh sebesar 1,667 maka thitung 2,316 > ttabel 1,667 dengan taraf signifikan 5% dengan thitung > ttabel maka hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternative (Ha) diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari penggunaan media visual dan audio-visual terhadap hasil belajar siswa di program keahlian TKRO SMK Negeri 1 Ciruas.
