Abstract
Background: Complete and standardized nursing care documentation is crucial for ensuring the quality of healthcare services. However, compliance with nursing documentation remains low. In Indonesia, only 7% of nursing documentation meets the required standards, influenced by high workload, lack of supervision, and low work motivation. Objective: To determine the relationship between workload and motivation with nurses’ compliance in electronic nursing care documentation in the inpatient ward of Banten Provincial Hospital in 2025. Methods: This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional and observational approach. A total of 90 respondents were selected using simple random sampling based on Slovin’s formula. Instruments included the NASA-TLX questionnaire to measure workload, a motivation questionnaire based on Maslow’s theory, and an observation checklist from the Indonesian Ministry of Health to assess documentation compliance. Result: A significant relationship was found between workload and documentation compliance (p = 0.001), indicating that higher workload is associated with lower compliance. However, no significant relationship was found between motivation and compliance (p = 1.000). Simultaneously, workload and motivation significantly influenced compliance (p = 0.000). Conclusion: Effective workload management is key to improving compliance in electronic nursing documentation, thereby supporting better healthcare service quality.

Additional Information: | Latar Belakang: Pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan yang lengkap dan sesuai standar merupakan aspek krusial dalam menjamin mutu pelayanan kesehatan. Namun, tingkat kepatuhan terhadap dokumentasi keperawatan masih rendah. Di Indonesia, hanya 7% dokumentasi keperawatan yang memenuhi standar, dipengaruhi oleh tingginya beban kerja, kurangnya supervisi, serta motivasi kerja yang rendah. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara beban kerja dan motivasi dengan kepatuhan perawat dalam pendokumentasian asuhan keperawatan elektronik di ruang rawat inap RSUD Provinsi Banten tahun 2025. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional dan pendekatan observasional. Sampel berjumlah 90 responden dipilih dengan simple random sampling menggunakan rumus Slovin. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner NASA-TLX untuk beban kerja, kuesioner motivasi berdasarkan teori Maslow, dan lembar observasi dari Kementerian Kesehatan RI untuk kepatuhan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian: Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara beban kerja dan kepatuhan dokumentasi (p = 0.001), namun tidak terdapat hubungan antara motivasi dan kepatuhan (p = 1.000). Secara simultan, keduanya berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepatuhan (p = 0.000). Kesimpulan: Pengelolaan beban kerja yang baik menjadi kunci untuk meningkatkan kepatuhan dokumentasi keperawatan elektronik guna mendukung mutu pelayanan kesehatan. | |||||||||
