Abstract
Peppers are an essential farming commodity in daily life. A common problem with chili plants in farmers is the presence of pests. One of the many pests that frequent the chili pepper plant is the Aphis gossypii (Aphis gossypii) bug. The Aphis gossypii (Aphis gossypii) is the principal pest that attacks the leaves on the chili plant. The use of vegetable pesticides is a way to cope with the problem of aphids. One of the biodegradable pesticides that can be used is the maja fruit pesticide. The maja's fruit, (Aegle marmelos) is an example of a plant that is of little notice, though it has a concentration of saponins and tannin that are not popular with plant pests, one of which is a flea flea that attacks the chili plant. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of extract of maja fruit in the control of aphids, in the pepper plants of taro and rawite varieties of lamps. Studies show that the application for a concentration of maja fruit at 40% has a real effect on the morbidity parameters of the pest in 9 days after the application (hsa), each of maja's fruit extracts also has a real impact on the parameters for the rate of mortality and the rate of damage to plants, but it has no real effect on the parameters for the high observation of plants and the number of leaves.

| Additional Information: | Cabai merupakan komoditas pertanian yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Permasalah yang sering terjadi pada tanaman cabai di petani adalah adanya serangan hama. Salah satu hama yang sering menyerang tanaman cabai adalah hama kutu daun (Aphis sp.). Kutu daun (Aphis gossypii) merupakan hama utama yang menyerang daun pada tanaman cabai. Penggunaan pestisida nabati merupakan cara untuk menanggulangi masalah kutu daun. Salah satu pestisida nabati yang dapat digunakan adalah pestisida buah maja. Buah maja, (Aegle marmelos) adalah salah satu contoh tanaman yang keberadaannya kurang diperhatikan, padahal buah ini memiliki kandungan saponin dan tannin yang tidak disukai oleh hama tanaman, salah satunya adalah hama kutu daun yang menyerang tanaman cabai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pemberian ekstrak buah maja dalam pengendalian hama kutu daun, pada tanaman cabai merah varietas taro dan cabai rawit varietas pelita. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen yang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 2 faktor, 5 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aplikasi konsentrasi ekstrak buah maja 40% berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter mortalitas hama pada 9 Hari Setelah Aplikasi (HSA), masing-masing konsentrasi ekstrak buah maja juga berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter laju kematian hama dan tingkat kerusakan tanaman, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun. | |||||||||
