Abstract
This research aims to describe the parenting patterns of single mothers in fostering the social participation of children who are university students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, involving three single mothers and three PPKn FKIP Untirta students as the main informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research results show that the parenting styles applied by single mothers vary, namely authoritarian, permissive, and democratic parenting styles. The main challenges faced include time constraints, economic pressure, and dual responsibilities. In addition, good time management and economic management strategies are key in supporting children to continue participating in social activities. The conclusion of this research is that despite facing various challenges, single mothers can build their children's social participation by applying appropriate parenting styles, providing emotional support, and creating a supportive environment. The results of this research are expected to provide both theoretical and practical contributions to single mothers, students, and society.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pola asuh ibu tunggal dalam menumbuhkan partisipasi sosial anak-anak yang merupakan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, melibatkan tiga ibu tunggal dan tiga mahasiswa PPKn FKIP Untirta sebagai informan utama. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh ibu tunggal bervariasi, yaitu gaya pengasuhan otoriter, permisif, dan demokratis. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi termasuk keterbatasan waktu, tekanan ekonomi, dan tanggung jawab ganda. Selain itu, manajemen waktu yang baik dan strategi manajemen ekonomi adalah kunci dalam mendukung anak-anak untuk terus berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan sosial. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa meskipun menghadapi berbagai tantangan, ibu tunggal dapat menumbuhkan partisipasi sosial anak-anak mereka dengan menerapkan pola asuh yang tepat, memberikan dukungan emosional, dan menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi baik secara teoritis maupun praktis kepada para ibu tunggal, mahasiswa, dan masyarakat. | |||||||||
