Abstract
Character is a basic thing that every human being has and is a characteristic that differentiates one human from another. Early childhood education is a place where children can improve their abilities, especially character education. Character education is an effort to train children to be able to take responsibility for their actions and make decisions wisely and practice them in everyday life. Therefore, a method and strategy is needed to achieve this goal. The aim of this research is to find out the process of implementing the Nine Pillars of Character, the role of teachers in implementing the Nine Pillars of Character, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the effectiveness of implementing the Nine Pillars of Character for children aged 5-6 years at RA Al-izzah Serang Banten. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques using interview, documentation and observation methods. The results of this research are the implementation of the nine pillars of character at RA Al-izzah Serang Banten using exemplary and habituation methods using 3 processes, namely (knowing), explaining (feeling) feeling and (action) Actions/practices are effective and in line with expectations. In implementing the nine pillars of character, it is able to instill character values in children aged 5-6 years, such as the values of independence, self-confidence, generosity, helping each other and others.

Additional Information: | Karakter merupakan hal dasar yg dimiliki setiap insan yg membedakan antara insan yang satu dan yang lainnya. Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan tempat dimana anak bisa mempertinggi kemampuan yg terdapat pada diri anak terutama Pendidikan karakter. pendidikan karakter sebagai sarana untuk melatih anak agar dapat mempertangung jawabkan setiap perbuatan dan mengambil keputusan dengan bijak dan mempraktekkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, Oleh karena itu diperlukan salah satu metode dan strategi yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses penerapan Sembilan pilar karakter, peran guru dalam penerapan Sembilan pilar karakter, faktor pendukung dan penghambat, serta kefektifan penerapan Sembilan pilar karakter anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al-izzah Serang Banten. Peneltian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriftif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Penerapan Sembilan pilar karakter di RA Al-izzah Serang Banten dengan metode keteladanan dan pembiasaan dengan menggunakan 3 proses yaitu (knowing) menjelaskan (feeling) merasakan dan (action) Tindakan sudah sesuai dengan harapan. Dalam penerapan sembilam pilar karakter ini mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter anak usia 5-6 tahun seperti nilai kemandirian, percaya diri, dermawan, saling tolong menolong dll. | |||||||||
