Abstract
This study aims to find out about the role of the Bojonegara Village community in the development of religious tourism in Gunung Santri, the local community has an important role in utilizing this potential to improve the economy and preserve the culture in Gunung Santri. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that: 1) The Bojonegara Village community contributes in various aspects, such as in the provision of facilities, promotion, and preservation of local culture, besides that the community there has joined several groups such as caretakers, caretakers, security groups and cleanliness groups; and 2) The supporting factors of the Gunung Santri religious tourism site are its tourism potential, while the inhibiting factors are in terms of inadequate infrastructure and lack of promotion and inconsistency in its management. This study is expected to provide insight for policy makers and stakeholders in formulating tourism development programs that involve the community effectively, so that it can improve the socio-economic welfare of the local community.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang bagaiamana peran masyarakat Desa Bojonegara dalam pengembangan tempat wisata religi di Gunung Santri, masyarakat setempat memiliki peran penting dalam memanfaatkan potensi tersebut untuk meningkatkan perekonomian dan pelestarian budaya yang ada di Gunung Santri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : 1) Masyarakat Desa Bojonegara berkontribusi dalam berbagai aspek, seperti dalam penyediaan fasilitas, promosi, dan pelestarian kebudayaan lokal selain itu masyarakat disana sudah tergabung dalam berberapa kelompok seperti juru kunci, juru pelihara, kelompok kamanan dan kelompok kebersihan; dan 2) Faktor pendukung dari tempat wisata religi Gunung Santri yakni potensi wisatanya, sedangkan untuk faktor penghambatnya yaitu dari segi infrastruktur yang kurang memadai dan promosi yang kurang serta ketidakonsistenan dalam pengelolaannya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pengambil kebijakan dan pemangku kepentingan dalam merumuskan program pengembangan pariwisata yang melibatkan masyarakat secara efektif, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi sosial masyarakat setempat. | |||||||||
