Abstract
This study aims to assess the level of validation and practicality of E-LKPD based on Inquiry Learning on Water Pollution Materials in Growing Science Communication Skills of Junior High School Students in grade VII. Based on the results of interviews at one of the schools in Serang City, namely SMPN 14 Serang City, there is a problem that is the basis for this research and development, namely the science communication skills of students are still relatively low. The results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 2016 also stated that the low science communication skills of Indonesia students were due to the lack of optimal educators in developing students' science process skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) according to Thiagarajan (1974) which is limited to the development stage according to the needs of the researcher and limited to students. The instruments used in this study are validation questionnaires for material experts, teaching material experts and practitioners that have been tested by instrument experts and student response questionnaires that are used to assess the level of practicality of the E-LKPD teaching materials developed. The data analysis process is carried out in a descriptive, quantitative and qualitative way. The results of this study show that the validation level of inquiry learning-based E-LKPD teaching materials on water pollution materials assessed by material expert validators gets a percentage of 78% and is included in the valid category, teaching material expert validators get a percentage value of 85% and are included in the very valid category, and practitioner get a percentage of 90.9% and are included in the very valid category. As well as the results of the student response, the percentage score was 72.3% and was included in the good category, so that the use of inquiry learning-based E-LKPD teaching materials on water pollution materials was considered valid and practical for students to use in the learning process.

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara pada salah satu sekolah di Kota Serang yaitu SMPN 14 Kota Serang, terdapat masalah yang menjadi dasar dalam penelitian dan pengembangan ini yaitu keterampilan komunikasi sains yang dimiliki siswa masih tergolong rendah. Hasil Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) pada tahun 2016 juga menyatakan bahwa keterampilan komunikasi sains siswa Indonesia yang masih rendah disebabkan karena kurang optimalnya pendidik dalam mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) menurut Thiagarajan (1974) yang dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahapan develop sesuai dengan kebutuhan peneliti dan menguji coba terbatas kepada siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar angket validasi ahli materi, ahli bahan ajar dan praktisi yang telah diuji oleh ahli instrumen serta lembar angket respon siswa yang digunakan untuk menilai tingkat kepraktisan bahan ajar E-LKPD yang dikembangkan. Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan cara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat validasi pengambangan bahan ajar E-LKPD berbasis inquiry learning pada materi pencemaran air yang dinilai oleh validator ahli materi mendapatkan persentase sebesar 78% dan masuk dalam kategori valid, validator ahli bahan ajar mendapatkan nilai persentase sebesar 85% dan masuk dalam kategori sangat valid, dan praktisi mendapatkan persentase sebesar 90,9% dan masuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Serta untuk hasil dari respon siswa mendapatkan nilai persentase sebesar 72,3% dan masuk dalam kategori baik, sehingga penggunaan bahan ajar E-LKPD berbasis inquiry learning pada materi pencemaran air dinilai valid dan praktis untuk digunakan oleh siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. | |||||||||
