Abstract

The lack of basic literacy and socio-emotional skills is still a serious problem among adolescents. This problem became the basis for the Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Bastra ID to intensify the youth empowerment program based on multiliteracy education. This research aims to find out: (1) The role of Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID in empowering adolescents based on multiliteracy education, (2) The stages of empowering adolescents based on multiliteracy education by Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID, and (3) The benefits for participants in empowering adolescents based on multiliteracy education by Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques consist of interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of this study indicate that (1) the role of Bastra ID Non Governmental Organization in youth empowerment is divided into three mutually sustainable roles, namely implementing youth empowerment programs, encouraging the active role of adolescents as participants in empowerment programs, and building partnerships with various parties in implementing empowerment programs; (2) The stages of youth empowerment based on multiliteracy education by Bastra ID Non Governmental Organization are carried out in a structured manner through 7 stages, namely preparation, assessment, alternative program planning, formalizing action plans, program implementation, evaluation, and termination; and (3) Youth empowerment based on multiliteracy education by Bastra ID Non Governmental Organization provides many benefits when viewed from literacy skills (reading-writing, digital, cultural-citizenship) and 21st century skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication).

Additional Information: Rendahnya keterampilan literasi dasar dan sosio-emosional masih menjadi masalah yang serius di kalangan remaja. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi landasan bagi Non Governmental Organization (NGO) Bastra ID untuk menggiatkan program pemberdayaan remaja berbasis pendidikan multiliterasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Peran Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID dalam pemberdayaan remaja berbasis pendidikan multiliterasi, (2) Tahapan pemberdayaan remaja berbasis pendidikan multiliterasi oleh Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID, dan (3) Manfaat bagi peserta pemberdayaan remaja berbasis pendidikan multiliterasi oleh Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data terdiri dari wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknis analisis data menggunakan 3 tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) peran Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID dalam pemberdayaan remaja terbagi menjadi tiga peran yang saling berkesinambungan, yaitu melaksanakan program pemberdayaan remaja, mendorong peran aktif remaja sebagai peserta program pemberdayaan, dan membangun kemitraan dengan berbagai pihak dalam pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan; (2) Tahapan pemberdayaan remaja berbasis pendidikan multiliterasi oleh Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID dilakukan secara terstruktur melalui 7 tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pengkajian, perencanaan alternatif program, pemformalisasian rencana aksi, implementasi program, evaluasi, dan terminasi; dan (3) Pemberdayaan remaja berbasis pendidikan multiliterasi oleh Non Governmental Organization Bastra ID memberikan banyak manfaat jika dilihat dari keterampilan literasi (baca-tulis, digital, budaya-kewargaan) dan keterampilan abad 21 (berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, komunikasi).
