Abstract
This research aims to describe (1) the efforts of community empowerment through the development of pottery craft businesses to improve the community's economy by the Bumi Jaya Village Government in Ciruas Sub-district, Serang Regency. (2) The outcomes of community empowerment through the development of pottery craft businesses to improve the community's economy by the Bumi Jaya Village Government in Ciruas Sub-district, Serang Regency. (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors in community empowerment through the development of pottery craft businesses to improve the community's economy by the Bumi Jaya Village Government in Ciruas Sub-district, Serang Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources in this research consist of 9 informants, including village officials and pottery artisans from Bumi Jaya Village. The findings of the study indicate that (1) community empowerment efforts have generally been well implemented but can be further optimized in terms of guidance and assistance. (2) The results of community empowerment show a significant improvement in the economy, although there is room for optimization in the aspects of capital to expand job opportunities and enhance partnership networks for pottery sales. (3) Supporting factors in community empowerment through the development of the village pottery business include the availability of sufficient natural resources as raw materials for pottery and skilled human resources in pottery production. Inhibiting factors include the limited knowledge of the community regarding marketing technology and the lack of understanding among artisans about producing goods that meet market needs.

(2) Hasil pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengembangan usaha kerajinan gerabah untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat oleh pemerintah desa Bumi Jaya kecamatan Ciruas kabupaten Serang. (3) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengembangan usaha kerajinan gerabah untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat oleh pemerintah desa Bumi Jaya kecamatan Ciruas kabupaten Serang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 9 informan yang terdiri dari aparatur desa dan pengrajin gerabah desa Bumi Jaya. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat pada umumnya telah berjalan dengan baik namun dapat lebih dioptimalkan pada aspek pembinaan dan pendampingan. (2) Hasil pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan ekonomi yang baik, namun dapat dioptimalkan pada aspek permodalan dalam memperluas kesempatan kerja dan memperluas jaringan kemitraan dalam penjualan gerabah. (3) Faktor pendukung dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengembangan usaha kampung gerabah meliputi adanya sumber daya alam yang memadai sebagai bahan baku gerabah dan sumber daya manusia yang terampil dalam membuat gerabah. Sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi masih kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat terkait penggunaan teknologi pemasaran serta masih kurangnya pemahaman pengrajin mengenai produksi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar. | |||||||||
