Abstract
This study aims to review and analyze the education service innovations implemented through the Tangerang Live Application as part of the Tangerang City Government's Smart City program. This is to improve research focuses on four main features of education services in the application: School Transfer, e-Report, PPDB, and Tangerang Belajar. This research is based on Rogers' theory (Prabowo et al., 2022) which includes five aspects they are : relative advantage, Compatibility, complexity, triability, and observability. The method used a qualitative approach with purposive selection of informants, and data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. To test the validity of the data, triangulation and member check were used. The results showed that the education service innovation in the Tangerang Live application provides easy access, transparency and efficiency for the community. The e-Report feature allows parents to monitor their children's learning outcomes online, while PPDB facilitates online school registration. However, there are several obstacles such as low digital literacy among teachers and parents, limited features on the iOS platform, and uneven network infrastructure. In addition, the lack of programmers is also an obstacle in developing new features. This study concludes that innovation through the Tangerang Live App has great potential in improving the quality of education services in Tangerang City. Recommendations include increased socialization of the application, digital literacy training, and strengthening technological infrastructure, which are expected to assist the Tangerang City Government in developing more inclusive and effective digital-based education services.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis inovasi layanan pendidikan yang diterapkan melalui Aplikasi Tangerang Live sebagai bagian dari program Smart City Pemerintah Kota Tangerang. Fokus penelitian adalah pada empat fitur utama layanan pendidikan dalam aplikasi: Pindah Sekolah, e-Raport, PPDB, dan Tangerang Belajar. Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada teori Rogers (Prabowo et al., 2022) yang mencakup lima aspek: Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity, Triability, dan Observability. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan pemilihan informan secara purposive, serta pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Untuk menguji keabsahan data, digunakan triangulasi dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi layanan pendidikan dalam Aplikasi Tangerang Live memberikan kemudahan akses, transparansi, dan efisiensi bagi masyarakat. Fitur eRaport memungkinkan orang tua memantau hasil belajar anak secara daring, sedangkan PPDB mempermudah pendaftaran sekolah secara online. Namun, terdapat kendala seperti rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan guru dan orang tua, keterbatasan fitur di platform iOS, serta infrastruktur jaringan yang belum merata. Selain itu, kurangnya tenaga programer menjadi hambatan dalam pengembangan fitur baru. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa inovasi melalui Aplikasi Tangerang Live memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan di Kota Tangerang. Rekomendasi mencakup peningkatan sosialisasi aplikasi, pelatihan literasi digital, dan penguatan infrastruktur teknologi, yang diharapkan dapat membantu Pemerintah Kota Tangerang dalam mengembangkan layanan pendidikan berbasis digital yang lebih inklusif dan efektif. | ||||||
