Abstract

purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning model on critical thinking skills in the History subject of class XI students at SMA Negeri 9 Tangerang City. This research was conducted on September 4-October 9, 2024. The research method used was an experiment. This study had a sample of 38 students each in the control class and the experimental class. The main instrument used was a descriptive test consisting of 10 questions to be analyzed using the t-test. Hypothesis testing was carried out with the help of Ms Excel with a two-tailed t-test using the polled variance formula, the t-value was obtained = 2.868> t-table 1.992 with ɑ = 0.05 so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This shows that there is an effect of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model on students critical thinking skills. This Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative model can be used as a reference for history learning activities to improve critical thinking skills in the Indonesian national movement material.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran sejarah siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 9 Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 04 September -09 Oktober 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah eksperimen. Sampel penelitian berjumlah masing-masing 38 siswa pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Instrumen utama yang digunakan ialah tes essay sebanyak 10 butir soal kemudian di analisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan bantuan Ms Excel dengan uji-t dua pihak menggunakan rumus polled varian diperoleh nilai thitung= 2,868 > ttabel 1,992 dengan ɑ= 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Model kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) ini dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi pergerakan kebangsaan Indonesia
