Abstract
This research aims to find out how students' creative thinking abilities improve after implementing the project based learning model in class XI history subjects at MAN 1 Serang City. The research was carried out on 30 July 2024 - 21 August 2024. The population in this research was students of class XI IPS MAN 1 Serang City and the samples in this research were class XI IPS 1 as the experimental class and The research method used was quasi experimental, with a sampling technique, namely non-probability sampling, each sample amounting to 37 students in the experimental class and control class using a pretest-posttest control group design. The instrument used in this research is a description or essay with 8 questions. The results of this research are: (1) The results of the application of the project based learning model which was carried out during two meetings by students and teachers with material on the process of entry and development of European colonialism in Indonesia. As a result, students carry out teaching and learning activities well and actively. (2) There is an increase in students' creative thinking abilities after implementing the project based learning model in the experimental class. The results of the t test analysis using the polled variant formula, obtained t_count = 6.41 > t_tabel = 1.99 with α = 0.05 and based on the n - gain test, the increase in students' creative thinking abilities in the experimental class was 0.40, which is in the medium category and in the form of a percentage, 40% which is classified as less effective, while in the control class it was only 0.18, which is low and in the form of a percentage of 18%, which is classified as ineffective, so is accepted. and is rejected.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah diterapkannya model project based learning pada mata pelajaran sejarah kelas XI di MAN 1 Kota Serang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 30 Juli 2024 – 21 Agustus 2024. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS MAN 1 Kota Serang dan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu non probalitiy sampling, masing – masing sampel berjumlah 37 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan pretest- posttest control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu uraian atau esai sebanyak 8 soal. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) Dalam hasil penerapan model project based learning yang dilaksanakan selama dua pertemuan oleh siswa maupun guru dengan materi proses masuk dan perkembangan penjajahan Eropa di Indonesia. Hasilnya siswa melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan baik dan aktif. (2) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa setelah diterapkannya model project based learning pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil analisis uji t dengan rumus polled varian, yang diperoleh = 6,41 > = 1,99 dengan α = 0,05 dan berdasarkan uji n – gain, peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,40 tergolong kategori sedang dan dalam bentuk persen sebesar 40% yang tergolong kurang efektif sedangkan pada kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 0,18 tergolong rendah dan dalam bentuk persen sebesar 18% yang tergolong tidak efektif, sehingga diterima dan ditolak. | |||||||||
