Abstract

Oil palm is one of the loading plantation commodities both in the world and in Indonesia which has an important role in the plantation subsector to build the country's economy. Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is a derivative product of palm oil, this also makes CPO die prima donna of Indonesian exports. The purpose of this stody is to analyze the comparative and competitive advantages of Indonesian CPO compared to Malaysia in four main export destination countries, namely India, the Netherlands, Italy and Kenya using the RCA and EPD methods. The results of the RCA research show that Indonesia and Malaysia both have a comparative advantage in their respective export destination countries, as evidenced by the RCA 1 value. Furthermore, based on the EPD method, it was found that Indonesia's market position is in the position of rising stars, During the 2019-2023 period growing rapidly in the Indian and Kenyan markets, Indonesian CPO has more competitive advantages, while in the Dutch and Italian markets, Malaysian CPO is more competitive in profits.

Crude Palm Oil (CPO) merupakan minyak yang diekstrak dari mesokarp buah sawit, sedangkan Palm Karnel oil (PKO) dari endosperm biji buah sawit, minyak sawit tersusun oleh campuran trigliserida lebih dari 95%, Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas hasil Perkebunan yang mempunyai peran cukup penting dalam kegiatan perekonomian di Indonesia. Indonesia mempunyai potensi yang besar untuk memasarkan minyak sawit dan inti sawit di dalam maupun luar negeri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Menganalisis Keunggulan Komparatif dan Kompetitif Crude Palm Oil Indonesia dibandingkan pesaing lainnya di empat negara tujuan ekspor utama, Menganalisis cara hitung daya saing ekspor Crude Palm Oil Indonesia di pasar Internasional, dengan menggunakan metode RCA dan EPD. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dalam bentuk panel yaitu gabungan antara data time series dan data Cross sectional, Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara purposive, Negara pembanding dalam penelitian ini adalah Malaysia Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui Produksi CPO tahun 2023 diperkirakan mencapai 50,07 juta ton atau naik sebesar 7,15% dari tahun 2022 yakni sebesar 46,73 juta ton, Indonesia dan Malaysia sama-sama memiliki keunggulan komparatif dan berdaya saing pada masing-masing negara tujuan ekspor utama yaitu India, Kenya, Italy dan Belanda dengan nilai RCA lebih dari 1, Kemudian berdasarkan hasil perhitungan EPD menunjukan bahwa posisi pasar Indonesia dan Malaysia berada pada posisi Rising Star. Pada pasar India dan Kenya, CPO Indonesia lebih memiliki keunggulan kompetitif disbanding CPO Malaysia, sedangkan CPO Malaysia lebih memiliki keunggulan kompetitif pada pasar Italy dan Belanda.
