Abstract
Mental health disorders are defined as conditions that affect an individual's ability to function socially and emotionally, and this issue has increasingly become a public concern as awareness of the importance of mental health grows. The film "Sleep Call," directed by Fajar Nugros, addresses this theme through the main character who experiences various mental disorders, including depression, anxiety, and delusions, reflecting the realities faced by many people today. This research aims to identify and define the representation of mental health disorders on three levels: reality, representation, and ideology. To achieve this goal, the study utilizes John Fiske's semiotic analysis theory with a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data collection methods are conducted through literature study, documentation, and observation. The results of the study indicate that mental health disorders in this film are represented through various aspects such as facial expressions, body movements, speech patterns, costumes, and the environment of the main character. At the representation level, technical elements such as cinematography and lighting reinforce the message regarding the psychological pressures faced by the character. Based on the depiction at the levels of reality and representation, the ideology presented by this film emphasizes the importance of societal understanding and awareness of mental health issues, as well as critiques the negative stigma often experienced by individuals with mental disorders.

| Additional Information: | Gangguan kesehatan mental didefinisikan sebagai kondisi yang mempengaruhi kemampuan individu untuk berfungsi secara sosial dan emosional, dan isu ini semakin menjadi perhatian publik seiring dengan meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya kesehatan mental. Film "Sleep Call" karya Fajar Nugros mengangkat tema ini melalui karakter utama yang mengalami berbagai gangguan mental, termasuk depresi, kecemasan, dan Skizofrenia, mencerminkan realitas yang dihadapi banyak orang saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendefinisikan representasi gangguan kesehatan mental pada tiga level: realitas, representasi, dan ideologi. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan teori analisis semiotika John Fiske dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gangguan kesehatan mental dalam film ini direpresentasikan melalui berbagai aspek, seperti ekspresi wajah, gerakan tubuh, cara bicara, kostum, dan lingkungan tokoh utama. Pada level representasi, elemen teknis seperti pengambilan gambar dan pencahayaan memperkuat pesan tentang tekanan psikologis yang dihadapi tokoh. Berdasarkan penggambaran pada level realitas dan representasi, ideologi yang dihadirkan oleh film ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap isu kesehatan mental serta kritik terhadap stigma negatif yang sering kali dialami oleh individu dengan gangguan mental. | ||||||
