Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) Implementation of the Brain Based Learning Model in Improving Critical Thinking Skills in Package C Learning Citizens at PKBM Saffari Flexi School Serang City. (2) Results of the Implementation of the Brain Based Learning Model in Improving Critical Thinking Skills in Package C Study Citizens at PKBM Saffari Flexi School Serang City. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources in this study consisted of 7 informants consisting of tutors and learning citizens of Package C at PKBM Saffari Flexi School Serang City. The results of the study indicate that (1) the implementation of the Brain Based Learning Model learning model in improving critical thinking skills in Package C learning citizens at PKBM Saffari Flexi School Serang City has gone well through the BBL stages which consist of (1) the pre-exposure stage (2) the preparation stage (3) the initiation and acquisition stage (4) the elaboration stage (5) incubation and entering memory (6) the verification and confidence checking stage and (7) the celebration and integration stage. The results of the Implementation of the Brain Based Learning Model in Improving Critical Thinking Abilities in Package C Learning Citizens at PKBM Saffari Flexi School Serang City went well with the achievement of critical thinking indicators, namely (a) Simple explanation which includes: focusing questions, analysing arguments presented, asking and answering an explanation. (b) Basic support which includes: adjusting to sources, observing and considering results. (c) Making conclusions, which include compiling and considering deduction, compiling and considering induction, compiling decisions and considering results. (d) Making further inferences, which include: identifying and considering definitions, and identifying assumptions (e) Strategies and tactics, which include: determining actions and interacting with others.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 7 informan yang terdiri dari tutor dan warga belajar Paket C di PKBM Saffari Flexi School Kota Serang. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) implementasi model pembelajaran Model Pembelajaran Brain Based Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Pada Warga Belajar Paket C Di PKBM Saffari Flexi School Kota Serang telah berjalan dengan baik melalui Tahapan BBL yang terdiri dari (1) tahap pra-pemaparan (2) tahap persiapan (3) tahap inisiasi dan akuisisi (4) tahap elaborasi (5) inkubasi dan memasukkan memori (6) tahap verifikasi dan pengecekan keyakinan dan (7) tahap perayaan dan integrasi. Hasil Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Brain Based Learning Dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Pada Warga Belajar Paket C Di PKBM Saffari Flexi School Kota Serang berjalan dengan baik dengan tercapainya indikator berfikir kritis, yaitu (a) Penjelasan sederhana yang meliputi: memfokuskan pertanyaan, menganalisis argument yang disajikan, bertanya dan menjawab suatu penjelasan. (b) Dukungan dasar yang meliputi: menyesuaikan dengan sumber,mengamati dan mempertimbangkan hasil. (c) Membuat simpulan, yang meliputi menyusun dan mempertimbangkan deduksi, menyusun dan mempertimbangkan induksi, menyusun keputusan dan mempertimbangkan hasil. (d) Membuat lebih lanjut, yang meliputi: mengidentifikasi dan mempertimbangkan definisi, dan mengidentifikasi asumsi (e) Strategi dan taktik, meliputi: menentukan tindakan dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain.
